Coyote caught in park by Arlington police and animal service members

Arlington police and animal service members caught one coyote at Parkway Central Park. Three children have been bitten by a coyote since Saturday. It's not known yet whether one or multiple coyotes bit the children, but there are other coyotes in the area.

People need to watch their children. Had the parents been feet away the animal would not have had a chance to bite their children! Shame on parents and people for killing animal that are in their environment. I love how it says they used non-lethal gun to only euthanize. In order to be tested for rabies they have to kill the animal to test their brain. Shame on the news and anyone involved in this to not tell the whole story. This animal was not caught in the act, just suspected. Also crazy people need to stop feeding these wild animals!

We have coyotes around where I work in Las Colinas, they typically avoid humans completely. I seriously doubt they were ‘attacking’ anyone unless they were being taunted/teased by people trying to lure them out with food. Can see that ‘I didn’t do anything’ look on the coyotes face as they drug him away from his home.

Coyotes are wild animals that are potentially dangerous. They will target small children and some adults. Great job Arlington police and animal control officers!
