The bridge pattern of the CBS News Theme starting at 0:21, ending at 0:27 has been remastered as the current opening theme of the CBS Evening News with Norah O'Donnell. Great job to composer Joel Beckerman!

Nope this Music was terrible for the CBS evening news , literally way to loud … Glad that CBS brought back Dan rathers Theme from 1980s and Scott Pelleys from 2011 …. This theme will not be missed … The original composition cannot be beat

@@eldermcnamara3631 I completely disagree, I think this theme remastered for Jeff Glor is one of the greatest pieces of News Music ever played. This theme reflects the dark, loud voice journalism has to offer. We can disagree, but I will consistently defend this theme. I hope they bring this theme back.

@@DisasterC3ntral well they won’t and I hope they don’t or I won’t watch again , as someone who grew up during Walter Cronkite era, I can say the original composition fits CBS best … The theme composed for Jeff glor and at the ending of Scott pelleys tenure was just horrendous, it was very loud and very obnoxious (In my opinion) and in others opinions as well as critics … You can’t convince me otherwise, The original is best no matter what… CBS don’t make the mistake again ..
