The absolute best part of CBS News is Steve Hartman and his stories On the Road!

With all the stupidity, hate, violence and lies in today's news and the world, these videos are a great reminder that out there every day, there are great wonderful people doing great doing great wonderful things. It's so very easy to forget this. Nice work, Steve Hartman.

Isn’t it crazy that if you go by these videos…I have no fear of the future. The good in people is freely flowing everywhere. This little kids have more empathy in their pinky toe then I did in the first 40 years of my life. They make me want to be a better person.

This is what should be on every news channel daily and in every classroom daily. This is how people were for many many generations. Love and gratitude goes a long way.

This is how people still are…obviously. We just have the ability to see the bad at our fingertips…and that’s usually what people focus on. The good in people is very clearly very much alive.

I teared up at every story, but the story of the young boy whose teacher gave his mother a kidney opened the floodgates. At 44:50 my eyes welled up and I had to pause and take a moment. I am dealing with an out of nowhere stage 4 cancer diagnosis. Beating cancer but now I'm in a wheelchair and can only look upon the mountains I used to climb. Everyone says that I am strong and always cheerful.... but some days when I want to cry, stories like this can open the floodgates of happy tears and not despondency. Thank you CBS Sunday Mornings 🌞!!

I can’t express how important these stories have become to me and my two sons, 17 and 19. We started watching about 3 years ago. We were going through a very rough time. I felt helpless and I couldn’t find anything good to say to my boys…. one sleepless night I typed in “videos of good people and things” into my phone out of pure desperation I did that …. and I’m so glad I did. I’m so greatful these videos exist, the hope, love and joy they provide saved us. Thank you ❤ when our turn and chances come you can be sure we will give back always with love hope and joy ❤

Beautiful, Jen. For the last 10 minutes I've been thinking about you and your family. You've got this. A stranger said that to me when she observed a somewhat shocking interaction between me and my then 14-yr-old. I said I do? I forget what her answer was but something like Yes. I'll never forget it and I think about it often. With all my heart, you've got this, Jen ❤ Peace, love and continued strength and bonding to you and your family from the Russos in Pittsburgh, PA

When I was in second grade... Quite a few years ago😂.. My teacher was so convincing that we were going on a class trip... I talked about it so much.. My Mama asked where's the permission slip. That day Mrs. Green told us we would travel vicariously.. she said that to second graders. It was the absolute best thing... She taught us to listen and create the scene in our heads. From that day.. Which is 60+ years later, I still recall.. I never read another book with pictures.

I absolutely love this kind news instead of the downtrodden days of our worn out world. I look forward to my cup of coffee and a good old fashioned happy cry. These heartwarming stories make my Sunday morning so much happier! Seeing the good that's still in the world just evokes hope in a world that seems so angry all the time, just gives you that craving for a chance to do something good for someone else just to see that wonderful smile they have! Thank you for your wonderful stories and for all the happy tears.
