Saturday Sessions: Brigitte Calls Me Baby perform "Impressively Average"

Chicago-based rockers Brigitte Calls Me Baby formed in 2016 and have been selling out shows with music that spans genres and eras. The quintet's success is due in part to the strong vocal talents of frontman Wes Leavins who started writing songs at age 13. Late last year, the band released their debut EP titled, "This House Is Made Of Corners," and earlier this month the band embarked on their first headlining tour. Now, here is Brigitte Calls Me Baby with "Impressively Average."

These guys are great and one of the best bands to ever perform on CBS Saturday Mornings! They have lots of talent and energy! Wes has a voice similar to Jay Black with some Roy Orbison and Elvis mixed in. Great sound in every way.

True but now we have the kilers with a little bit of Roy Orbison and a touch of Elvis.Discovered the killers on 107.1 the peak with my the kids about 15 years ago now discovered BCMB driving my grandson school also on the peak. They could have killers,strokes,kings of Leon type of success. BTW , have you tried to buy a CD at a retail store lately. If it's not one of today's pop stars forget it. T

They call themselves BCMB because of an English assignment Wes was given in school, to write to a celebrity they admire. Wes wrote to Brigitte Bardot. Not sure if she wrote back & called him Baby, but it's a sweet story.♥️🎶

@MyHeart1955 While I don't "despise" such names, I find them unnecessarily involved and prone to be a hindrance for an act, and I think that's probably the case for these guys. I saw them last night in a small DC venue, they're great, and Wes is ridiculously gifted... and handsome, which never hurts in showbiz. I suspect being tagged "retro" rock might be a bit of a problem for them. Oh, and yes Brigitte Bardot wrote back to h.s. student Wes... and called him Baby. (I got a band-signed poster... it's a b&w head shot of Bardot.) It makes for an awkward band name tho... feels esoteric and a little indulgent.
