Were Brazilian and Cuban chefs there? Our food in Latin America is very African.
@evag45353 жыл бұрын
@C. L. you seem to have a problem with the fact Latin foods are heavily influenced by the Africans that came in as slaves....even the music and the dance...many African influences in Latin America
@najahamilton60533 жыл бұрын
@@evag4535 I don't think that's accurate. AA=FBA don't have a problem with the heavily African influence on many aspects of Latinx culture, they DO. The music, food, dances even religious practices. They oftentimes opt to EXCLUDE themselves from us. They shun themselves from any tables we build until WE get some SHINE. Then it's, what about us...PR, DR, Braz, Cuba, right in line with the PCs. They weren't there because they chose not to be & we didn't/don't need them there and CHOOSE not to miss their presence. We're aight ova here😎

Can you imagine all the horrible things that would be said if we said, "white chef". Why do you have to state their skin color? They ain't special. Keep it the same for all.
@NonchalantDebutante3 жыл бұрын
There are festivals and events that showcase only European food year around. This is just a new event that is basically the African American version of those events. We don’t gripe over Renaissance festivals or “Beerfest” or Irish festivals that take place… I’m not trying to argue, I just think there are “white” chefs on display but we just say “Dutch” or “Irish” or “French”
