I'm so glad Stewart is returning to cable bc despite the political stereotypes, I absolutely despise apple as a corporation; although I missed JS dearly, I 'd never've followed his show (podcast?) into the apple-verse. Welcome home, Jon, I'm here for you.

I'm not a fan of The Daily Show or Jon Stewart, but I'm honestly really happy to see his return. He hosted that show for so many years. I was so used to seeing him nearly every night all throughout my late teens, 20s, and early 30s. So it felt so strange when he was no longer the host. Even without being a fan, I felt a bit sad when he left the show. To many people, fan or not, Jon Stewart IS The Daily Show. So I'm really glad to see him return as the host. That's where he belongs. The Daily Show is HIS show, in my mind.

@@abcxyz2927 He's way more competent than you realize. He actually went to D.C. and pressured everyone until they did something for veterans and first responders. You also don't know what it takes to create a TV show because that proves he's totally capable of sitting in a seat, like this do-nothing-congress-of-republicans is doing, but he'd actually be doing something. Plus he educates himself and can't be bought or pressured, again like the repubes in this record-breaking of do nothing congress is doing.

I like how they tried to pin a title of "influencer" on him several times. I think Jon's hope of being adequate air cover for the boots on the ground activists was a great response. They tried to link him as an influencer with his work for veterans and the 911 responders, but back to Jon's air cover goal... he put his boots on for those. A great interview by Jon. Host's always underestimate him if they think they can get a spin off. Past your prime? You're too humble sir, far too humble.
@worshadar150

They ask the opposing side's objections disguised as their own questions. BBC News does this all the time as well. If you're being interviewed you better have a good answer for the opposition, or you have nothing to add to the conversation. They're not always trying to "get a spin" stop being so cynical and think about how the world actually works. I feel like I should add that I admire Jon Stewart's integrity and everything he has done to be a voice of reason. I can't abide your fawning though.
