Honestly, at least they accepted death. I can't imagine being someone who was knocked out by wind, debris or other people. The shock youd feel. Or the people who held on in the North tower the whole time just hoping, even after seeing the South fall or at least the monstrous dust cloud, seeing all those people who jumped or fell upclose...still hoping to be saved somehow. That's torture. Hopefully most weren't flung out but crushed instantly. It'd be horrible for them to have even a second to grasp it was for nothing.

The 9/11 Museum/Memorial is beautiful. I visited it in 2015, on a visit home to NYC from California (where I now live), before I left on a trip to Europe. It was VERY surreal though, because even though I was still living in NYC on 9/11 (this was about three years before I moved out to CA) I hadn't been able to bring myself to visit Ground Zero in the ensuing 14 years. It was JUST too hard and traumatic for me. I think it's that way for a LOT of NYC natives.

I was born and raised in Manhattan New York spent my childhood in Long Island and have an apartment in Chinatown I have not had the desire to go visit the twin Tower memorial site all these years I've lived here the past two weeks I've been having visions to come back I currently live in Florida I took a flight 3 days ago today I walked the memorial site isn't it is a cold rainy day outside something told me I have to go to this one building which was actually one block away from the world trade 7 it is a beautiful building which is now owned by Verizon something told me to go touch the stone walls to see if I will have any visions or something happens I touched the stone wall as I turned around back to the sidewalk I noticed a man walking with a firefighter's letter without hesitation I asked him about if he was here on on 9-11 he actually told me he was not but she fully help with the cleanup to ground zero and it's been eleven years this has been the first day he is going to visit the memorial I gave him encouraging word or words to stay positive and it will be okay I just thought it was such a weird coincidence the first time I go and so long andI randomly see the firefighter who has helped and this has been his first day visiting and mine as well. I came home around 11 a.m. and have inside my apartment on madison street. A guy across the street left out a whole bunch of picture frames so I walked outside and the only picture out there was a picture of the New York City skyline with the twin towers dated 1978 I feel like these are not just coincidences now I am having a feeling to go back and check on a pear tree. Because my intuitions are telling me to go touch the pear tree so hopefully I will get more visions by the end of the night

My mam heard someone mention a "plane crash" in a ride queue, and when they were leaving a lone man walked up to them in the car park and told them a plane had crashed into one of the twin towers. This was before mobile phones. They count themselves lucky that they didn't have to witness any live footage - they *heard* the bbc 5 radio presenters react to the footage of the other plane hitting, and then each tower collapsing, all the way up the A1.
