I’m not convinced that interviewing individuals is helpful to bring understanding and compassion into politics. The vast majority of Americans simply repeat the talking points they hear on their media choices. I rarely hear someone that has really thought deeply on any political issue.

Our debt is propped up by our assets and people seem to forget that our assets, if preserved well, far outweigh that debt. If we, as a people, were to stop wasting massive amounts of money on bickering over myths and traditions (past) we could easily pay down that debt. Maybe down to independence from it.

Here is what I see that is this country’s biggest issues. The lady who is a trump supporter and Republican. She owns a cannabis company, she thinks women rights are trampled on and has a problem with reproductive issues that should be handled by women. How contradictive can you get. Those are issues the GOP fight against. I see this everywhere. I don’t understand how an educated person can not know the difference. I love the attitude of the Lee lady from New Jersey. Unfortunately communities are divided by politics more now than ever. And with good reason. The rights threat to our democracy, blatantly breaking ethics codes, the leader of the gop breaking the law to to show he can and don’t care has the support of people who I have cared for. I don’t care for them anymore. They are threat to my freedom and therefore I can’t trust them at any level.

We must choose the less lethal platform. She is willing to take the small hits in order to keep the Union intact. I wish there were a way to separate the issues, but DC loves to polarize. I have been waiting in the wings as an independant. But I doubt there will ever a totally agreeable ticket to join either of the 2 parties. A viable 3rd party may work, or the abolition of both the corrupt parties would be worth considering
