I agree with all the praise. I found out about this story from the ESPN 30 for 30, which I couldn't get on youtube. so I ran across this - and yes, it feels VERY authentic and moving. great messaging.

I grew up in Dallas around this time in the Southern Sector...I think the movie was very accurate.,, first off during this time Oak Cliff was a well off Middle Class neighborhood so this kids didn't need money..they only was doing this as a means to get extra cash because they were well taken care of and came from great families...what they did was stupid and also childish and I don't think they thought about the consequences and I really believed they thought they would get away with it...most highschool back when I was in highschool athletes were treated different and did get by with more then the other students..Also back then the UIL did discriminate against the school and the Carter Cowboys were THAT TALENTED some people were also upset about that!
