People may think bullying stops in high school. Workplace bullying is very real. Congratulations on winning his case. It sends a message that needs to be heard.

Bad habits don't go away over time on their own. They are either cured by addressing them or evolve into something worse.

That's what they get for bullying innocent people. If they think that bullying is fun, then this is what they will get for not changing and growing up.

If an employee cost me 3 millions, believe me I will find out who bullied that man and fire him/her or them.

Very fair, that's the way it should be. Usually it's a gang, it starts with one person and increase the # people. Also it should make the abuser employee to pay. I have seen some employers deducting from retirement, demotion position, termination, etc. The best punishment is termination, deduction on retirement and bad reference, staying on records, and this person will never abuse another worker again.

All CalTrans managers and employees who participated in this should be fired! They broke the law and their bullying cost the taxpayers $3 million that could have been used for other purposes!

To the Caltrans in this video: You should be ashamed of yourselves because you discriminated against someone who got sick while he was working there. In fact, you should be shut down and forced to remain closed because of discrimination against an innocent man.

Insulting someone's dignity should at least be worth $130 million, like Owen Diaz at Tesla. It's not about the money, it's about sending out a MESSAGE.

As an ex CT employee & after several experiences working with civil engineers in general, I can attest to the bullying that takes place in those environments. It's basically being surrounded by emotionally insecure men who were picked on in high school, trying to make up for it by bullying others aka Revenge of the Nerds haha

I was bullied for many years at a previous employer when I first started. I stated to owners and manager I needed time off for school, release at 530pm, but this didn't happen, and I had to cancel courses. Also they forced me to do work outside my scope, heavy labor for small cost, I mean 10 dollars an hour for installing and renovating an office, I installed many cubicles. The wall panels weighed 60-70 lbs plus each and I had to drag them across a football field length of office space to attach load bearing shelves and desktops. I really felt like an Egyptian pyramid builder. They could've provided at least dollies, but nope, I was stuck with primitive means to do it all.😂 Could've easily broke my back or calves. I did such tasks not only once for them but several times, they even used me for my truck, to move all their things into storage during two moves. Also they would pick on employees. It was demeaning atmosphere, especially since the owners made so much 🤑 from our efforts, talking 5+ million a year, but so long ago. They really didn't even work while in office, just sat at meetings, hired others to do tasks. I really don't suggest working at a place where the owners are always present because it really does affect the environment, many times for the worse. Especially if the owners are making huge amounts of money off your labors. Can't believe I tolerated it for so long . Many just left. These owners are retired multimillionaires!

Now I'm real happy for that guy because I know how sick a person get behind us thank you perfume and cologne not to mention all the other things but I mean you could actually get such a headache and stomachache and can't hardly breathe , I get immediately sick at some perfumes and cologne to the point I'm gagging in about to throw up.

Caltrans is subcontracting work out to Nevada contractors and truck drivers. That way verbal abuse and subhuman wages are ok

Yeah, I have seen some pretty messed up things in workplaces. I've seen people be very abused, but there's no law against it so they get away with it. The victim always suffers. And when one person starts bullying someone, then other workers start doing it too.

I feel for this man in how his employer and coworkers chose to handle the situation. But how unfair is it to have to cater to someone who willfully knew of their emotional, mental, and physical health issues and expect everyone to cater, and change for them. People are responsible for their own triggers. People are responsible for taking those measures in regards to their mental or physical health. It's nothing but entitlement. entitlement. This is a lesson for me that when ever looking for employment, I may need to work from home or find a job that is well fitted for my mental, emotional, physical, and even spiritual health. Bullying should never be tolerated!
@filrabat196510 ай бұрын
You're showing crude understandings of free will and personal responsibility. None of us have complete free will, plus some people simply have more free will than others. Not all triggers can be controlled. If anything, the mainstream majority feels entitled not to experience even the mildest of inconveniences. Also, you imply that highly sensitive people don't deserve gainful employment. If you complain about "catering", etc, then start supporting more tax $ (incl your own) go to to support such people.

Try being in Canada where workplace happens with impunity. I've walked off jobs mid shift because I was close to committing violence. No Workers Comp or anything. Of course people get away with EVERYTHING in Canada though....
