As a former employee of CT I can certainly believe that upper management let this go on. My supervisor was allowed to be hostile and abusive. So glad I’m not there anymore. Caltrans sucks so bad. I would never recommend anybody work for them. 💩💩💩

Caltrans desperately needs technically skilled workers, who are in short supply nowadays, and so the agency will overlook a lot drama to retain staff

Also a good way to ensure competent new staff don't stay as well. Ignoring issues like this is the wrong action. Everyone loses in the end. Also racial harassment is much worse than workplace "drama"

We just had a meeting at the San Francisco yard and I expressed the same thing. I said this is a culture that you all need to understand but because our management is not edified enough to understand what needs to happen. This is going to continue to be the norm because this is a culture.
