The fundamental problem cannot be solved by the US trade sanctions and the EU anti-dumping measures. Only when the human rights and welfare benefits of most Chinese farmers and workers are improved can labor rights and market competition in both the United States and the European Union be protected from harm. If the human rights and welfare standards of Chinese farmers and workers cannot gradually match those of American workers, then the human rights and welfare standards of American workers can only gradually match those of Chinese farmers and workers.
