My entire life, I've taken the position that you don't want a "2 QB system." But ... wait for it ... I think this season may be the exception. I completely could see ND excel with a Leonard/Angeli rotation. Kind of a Tebow/Leak kind of deal. NIU is a good MAC team. Don't want to take too much away from them, because they played hard and well. That said: ND just did not have their heads on straight after the emotional victory at TAMU. That is 100% on Freeman for not having them ready. But if given the opportunity to play NIU again ... ND would pound them. I have no doubt about that. But you don't get do-overs. Northern Illinois goes into Southbend and wins. Miami of Ohio just held the Irish scoreless in the 1st quarter. Purdue gave up 14pts at home to NDame last week in the 1st quarter. BIG QUESTION: How has the large infusion of cash from the Big 10 Network benefitted Boilermaker football? Note, during the Drew Brees era, there was no big infusion of cash because the Big10 Network was non-existent. So, now that there is the large cash infusion....how is the program benefitting from it?

gosh even with the NIU loss, abc/espn still can't get over their hatred of notre dame, now i know danielson went to purdue, but mentioning running clocks and over 5 minutes to go in 4th quarter, you run a QB draw on 1st and 10 from the 5 and he has to excuse the TD by saying "i have no problems with this, backups are in the game, you give em a chance to see what they can do, i have no problem", never mind that they were on either their 4th or 5th string running back, depending on where you want to put FRESHMAN kedren young or devyn ford and their 3rd string QB, but i guess they were just supposed to kneel as soon as they got to plus 50 points and just punt on 3rd down back to purdue(who has 85 scholarship players, all of which have at least 1 big 10 offer, as opposed to NIU who prolly has a total of 40/50 power 4/5 offers from their entire 85 man unit)...still scary that notre dame did this after losing 2 of their 5 starting olineman by the 2nd quarter and even with 578 total yards and 216 passing yards, receivers(NON backs or tight ends) only caught 8 for 105, 4 different receivers caught 2 balls each!!!
