Michelle is Chinese Malaysian. Chinese by blood. There is a large Chinese sect who stays in their group in Malaysia. Difficult for others to claim who she is because it’s up to the individual to self-identify. I have a Chinese Malaysian friend but he identifies himself as Chinese. I’m Chinese American but I identify as American. But I wouldn’t get offended if someone label me as Chinese tbh. Because I feel Chinese one day, American another, and another day both. Overall, Michelle gives a platform to folks who look like her.

Man, I grew up on Michelle Yeoh. When I was a little kid, I remember watching Police Story 3 on a Sunday afternoon and seeing Yeoh for the first time. I am just a fan. Also, I always felt like Michelle was never a Bond girl. The traditional Bond girl is a damsel to be saved. But Michelle does the saving.
