See the actors, the artists, the musicians, the academics, the entrepreneurs, the monarchs, the CEOs of media companies, the sportscasters, the pundits - the lawmakers and judges and justices. Not to speak about the millions of people who have small businesses or trades or are artisans, who never retire. Age alone is not a reason to forcibly retire someone from his profession. @@tex959 my husband just died of Parkinson’s at age 67…..dementia was certainly part of his disease…as was my mother’s death from Alzheimer’s…..I was caregiver for both and some of what I saw tonight certainly looked like dementia to me.

@JSH911 It is kind of you to take care of your family. A lot of elderly are left behind by their family. Anyway, for about 40 hours a week, for a year, I basically lived in an assisted living facility surrounded by a lot of elderly and spending 6-8 hours interacting with the elderly. You also have some experience with the elderly compared to the general population. Based on my limited experience, I don't think Biden is in a terribly decrepit shape, but I do think he's on the precipice of being unable to run this country due to age-related decline. He's not completely out of his mind with dementia, as I'm pretty sure you agree with too, but he's also only halfway introspective and self-aware and can't seem to think quickly on his feet unless he's reading from a script, during his good hours from 10:00 to 4:00, which creates a weakness in his ability to do his job. I guess Democrats got to make up their mind about what is an acceptable level of reduction in cognitive ability for presidential consideration. I feel like in his condition, he is not completely or even halfway acting as president, which hands the reins over to others, maybe anonymous, politicians.
