And, Sheridan is the sudden arbiter of what constitutes bad films? I was hooked on YELLOWSTONE, but the dialog has descended into predictability with the overused F word substituting for unique expressions conveying the same feeling. The redhead playing the daughter of Costner was mesmerizing initially, now you just want her to go to anger management classes.

Sheridan did a great job with Sons of Anarchy. He’s doing good with Yellowstone franchise. He needed to do more research on Indigenous health clinic. I am from the south of Russia, Krasnodar, Western Caucasus. It's amazing how many are similar. Here, too, the culture of the Cossacks, natural horsemen, has practically died out, there are practically no horses and cows left, everything has been plowed up for corn and wheat or given over to tourism. There is also a national park with a population of bison, this is the European bison. When watching this series, the thought often arises that there are no two more similar peoples than Russian and American, although it's hard to believe, but it's true. And it is a pity that someone constantly needs to make enemies out of us.

You are more correct than, perhaps, you even know. The Russians just like the Americans moved on to a huge area of grass land (steppes in Russia, the prairie in America). Encountered a nomadic people that still used bows and arrows and who considered millions of square miles of territory "theirs" because their life depended on moving around, finding new fields to hunt, and extracting tribute from anyone who passed by. Both in Russia and America, the Europeans knew that a few 100,000 people could not keep that much land "wild" just because that's the way they had lived for centuries. Not when that much land could feed millions instead of a few hundred thousand. As if that wasn't similar enough, the American Indians are descendants of the same Mongolian people that lived in the steppes.

That movie was amazing because of Denis Villeneuve. Not because of Sheridan. Sheridan is good at what he does, but it's not him that should take credit for how exceptional the execution of the script became.

Been a huge "Yellowstone" fan since the first season. Was a little reluctant to get into "1883", but I'm glad I did. It was absolutely fabulous. I can't wait to see the next chapter in the early Dutton family history. I'll watch anything that comes out of this great TV writer (and a really good on screen character as well).

I didn’t want to watch 1883 bc I’m not a huge prequels fan but I caught the first episode one day and got hooked. When I found out it was only going to be one season, I ranted the rest of the night. Faith, Tim and Sam did incredible jobs

The writing is superb, the acting is phenomenal. Best show since breaking bad. BETH, is by far the most amazing complex character ever to grace a TV screen. Why she hasntt already won 50 emmys or academy awards for this series is a mystery

I wanted to be wrong, but 1923 is missing a lot of the good ingredients 1883 has. 1923 thus far doesn't feel authentic to me. 1883 is so raw and real it feels like it could've been a true story.

Sheridan seems a master of dialogue, every episode has memorable lines spoken by its various characters. That said, he seems to have forgotten what a plot is. Here's hoping he decides where he's going with this show in the upcoming season. I'm a fan, but I need something more than Beth giving speeches and swearing a lot and John muttering homilies while he squints into the sunset.
