He has a “TEAM of co-writers”... that explains a lot. I can feel like less of a slow-writing failure- we cd all accomplish more with a team of our own. Ffs. Brilliant. I always wonder how successful writers stick to a single book/idea through completion. In that way I’m like Patterson in that I’ve thousands of book ideas-quite a few are maybe decent & worthy of a look. So fabulous to see he’s got dozens and dozens in the works. Of all the writers I’ve studied, read/watched over the last 20 years precious few ever talk about how to stick to one through to The End.

Once upon a time in bustling New York City, there lived a talented artist named Jean Paul Orpinas. Jean Paul was known for his innovative and unique approach to creating music videos. His latest project involved collaborating with the popular band Walk The Moon for their hit song "Shut Up and Dance. "The concept for the music video was inspired by a flipbook that Jean Paul had created while experimenting with different animation techniques. He envisioned a black and white world where a simple pen would come to life and dance to the infectious beat of the song. The idea was to blend basic colors and layers to create a visually striking and dynamic visual experience. As Jean Paul began the process of bringing his concept to life, he decided to incorporate a digital element to the video. Using cutting-edge technology, he was able to render the animated flipbook in a digital format, adding a modern twist to the traditional art form. The result was a captivating and visually stunning video that captured the essence of the song in a unique and innovative way. The video opens with a shot of a blank white canvas, as a hand comes into view holding a black pen. The pen begins to move across the canvas, creating simple yet intricate designs that come to life and dance to the beat of the music. The visuals are accompanied by slow motion shots that highlight the intricate details of the artwork, adding depth and dimension to the overall experience. As the music builds to a crescendo, the black and white world suddenly bursts into a kaleidoscope of colors, as the animated characters come to life in a vibrant and dynamic display. The pen becomes a conductor, leading the other characters in a joyful and energetic dance that sweeps across the screen in a symphony of movement and color. The video seamlessly transitions between the digital and real world, as the animated characters interact with live action elements, creating a seamless blend of fantasy and reality. The result is a visual feast for the senses, as the viewer is transported into a world of imagination and creativity. As the video comes to a close, the camera pulls back to reveal the entire scene, showcasing the intricate details and precision of Jean Paul's work. The music fades out, leaving the viewer with a sense of awe and wonder at the beauty and creativity that was brought to life before their eyes. "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk The Moon featuring the flipbook art of Jean Paul Orpinas was a visual masterpiece that set a new standard for music videos. It was a testament to the power of creativity and innovation, and a celebration of the art form in all its glory. And as the credits rolled, it was clear that this collaboration was a true masterpiece in every sense of the word.

Did you catch it ??? At about :58 of the video, the voice-over says that Patterson writes "with a team of co-writers". Team of co-writers!!! So what makes this guy a "prolific writer"? He runs a mill. He takes credit for the work of others. I hope he is paying his "co-writers" handsomely to have this guy take credit for their work.

Bookshots otherwise called novellas. I can't seem to wrap my head around James Patterson. He doesn't write his books on his own. He has a team of writers working with him. It was said in this interview. He works out the outlines and then hands it to a team of writers. It's like a film composer who gives his melodies to other composers to flush out the rest of the material and the orchestration. Maybe I'm not forward thinking enough, but I just can't get behind that.

@@dominicwyartt3598 Do you actually know the process of ghostwritting is? It's more than just just slapping a name on his books or any authors that does it. And ghostwriters, by contract (with traditional publishing), do get paid of their time and the work that they do. It's a collaborating process that takes time and more than just oh the author sitting down with a ghostwriter and telling the ghostwriter what to write down. No, it's a lot more than that. The author, like James, is more so steering of where the story, the characters, and so forth is going overall and guiding a ghostwriter to capture their vision as best as they can.

Nothing comes from his pencil... because he doesn't write. He developed a brand. Other people write and he takes the money. Granted, this is boiled down, but that's pretty much it. He's not alone in this - especially in the non-fiction market. On one hand, it's good business - mostly for him. On the other, it's awful and disgusting - and seems unethical (that the books are presented as if he wrote them). Learning about this (and, again, the many others who do this) blew my mind a bit. Kind like a few architects (hello, Wright) - and no doubt people in many other industries. I guess I have issues with some people who use themselves as a brand - Specifically, how they go about doing so. I suppose, at least Mr. Patterson seems to be open about it.
