As far as using it at first it was a little weird because it was my first camera besides a smartphone but after a few months I learned how to use the shutter button and how to hold it correctly. Also learning focusing changes the entire picture and when done correctly this camera is actually really good

yes exactly once you learn the shutter button pressure photos ive been taking are always in focus, so there was a learning curve for me since it my first camera

This is what I've noticed as well - the real image quality, focusing system, stabilization, etc. are all not nearly enough to outperform a modern smartphone.

I'm going to agree with the above: barely passable video quality. That being said, when a video camera or digital camera is focusing on a foreground, the background is going to be blurred. Cameras are better at focusing on one or the other. Everything won't be perfect. I photograph quite a bit with a Canon T7 and it is no different. Also, lighting a has the biggest effect on your subject. So, I wouldn't compare this product to your Iphone. Those are made to take the best quality photos with focus, with clarity, with light compensation in the fastest amount of time AUTOMATICALLY. That's why you pay more. As above, an iPhone image appears perfect, however zoom into the photo and you'll see the depth doesn't match up to a Canon or Nikon. What the Iphone does, again, is clear, bright, and fast. This guy says "take on vacation" and that's what you want. Cheap and easy video and pictures. Let your editing software do the rest.

It comes with a 4.0 inch touch screen that allows you to do that already built In, but it won't allow you to add another one

Yes, that could be true. I pressed the shutter button without putting it fully in focus. I am was still learning how to use the focus button when i'm making this video, but as you learn, it's easier to focus on every single shot
