Yeah, it's definitely the lack of brake cooling thats causing most of the issues, but we want to keep this bike fairly stock so no drilling haha. We are currently building a second CBX, a fully custom one, with a hayabusa front-end. That one will surely have no problem with braking ;)

Finally a high quality video of this amazing sounding bike. Thank you! Yeah, it is true ... it is always a pleasure to drive the CBX 1000 especially in Europe, even really basic there is nothing that disturbs me it remains my favorite bike, The best legendary motorcycle! 👍👍👍👍 - In time I do a take about my 50 years of motorcycle experience. Stay safe.

Ha! Ha! I just made a comment about the forks on part 2 as I watched that first. As I mentioned there, I had a red and black one from new and rode all over Europe on it, in every type of weather, even snow!! This brought back many memories. The flexing of the forks, frame and swing arm was so normal in those days we all just laughed about it. The brakes were what we had, so again no problem. I run a ZZR 1100 and a ZX14R now and they are both well advanced from the CBX of course but there is nothing in my opinion that can match the sheer joy of the CBX's engine( The ZZR is second best and ZX14R 3rd). You are a lucky chap Sir.

I absolutely agree with you, the motor is just so purely awesome. You're quite lucky yourself having so many great memories with that bike and having had the oportunity to ride it all over europe. You are totally right about what you said in your comment on the other video, it was a fairly tight route, mostly first and second, sometimes third gear. I'll record and upload a video with better video and audio quality the coming season so stay tuned for that. Also we are currently building a custom CBX with a modern front end and new swingarm and shocks which should be done some time next year to. But I think I might always prefer the original one, it's kinda really exciting to feel all the parts work under stress and to have that extra challenge that comes with the limited capabilities haha.

Respekt.

Seems like the bike's brakes has difficulty with cooling... drilling some holes in it to dissipate the heat on a laythe, might help.

Yes I know, it's my dad's bike and I rode it for the first time. I told him afterwards, but he hasn't done anything about it still. I won't be riding that bike again before he has changed it. It's really dangerous like this.

@@Toxie_Motor just buy parts and restore it, its easy as hell... and change brake lines for steel lines(soo much better response from bike, I use it for my CM400T 81`) and after that clean braking caliper too :D

@@rideroll9609 Yeah I know how easy it is, just did it on both of my own bikes about a month ago.
