Hey, there, Hawaii friend!!! So thankful we met! We did have a good and safe (but tiring) flight home. I hope your family's trip home went well too! So glad we could connect! Blessings to you and your family! ❤️

Great explanation but it would have been great to see the reaction in process to be able to troubleshoot what's going on with mine at home

Thank you! What seems to be happening when you try it? What we ended up doing on Community Day was skipping the tissue part. We put the baking soda inside the balloon first, then the water and vinegar in the bottle. We put the balloon over the top of the bottle and dumped the baking soda that was inside the balloon into the bottle and watched the reaction and the balloon inflate. I've done it with the tissue in the past and still had good results. You could try adding more vinegar and less water too.

We haven't been able to get the dish soap to make a bubble. We're doing Bubbler #93 which is very similar to the balloon experiment. Your suggestions are very helpful and I will try them, such as using a balloon to capture gas instead of dish soap. Secondarily, a co-tutor had the same suggestion to up the quantities of reactive substances to fill the volume better. Will try that too. 😊
