I have always had a soft spot for actress Liu Shishi, but she totally blew me away with her acting and awesome action scenes in this drama! Action fan edits are usually difficult for me, but I feel pretty proud of the result this time.

The actress is Liu Shishi. 😊She definitely has a special charm! Also, her dance scenes are especially elegant thanks to her background in ballet.

Great video, that gives justice to a Ren Xin character (beauty + assassination skills), too bad that she was watered down in a couple of situations (plus terrible rape attempt) Didn't enjoy the show too much, but she was fantastic. Probably my 2nd favourite female badass character just behind Balsa from "Seirei no Moribito"

Yeah, I am a big fan of LSS as well, just a few weeks ago was watching her in "Vigilante in Masks" (2011), and now have a few other TV series with her circled to check in a near future. @@wm8712 I watched part of that drama back when it aired. I really liked LSS' costumes in that drama too. I feel like LSS' role in A Journey to Love is the perfect fit for her. I cannot imagine anyone else in the role. I watched the first season of Seirei no Moribito a long time ago. It was surprising seeing Ayase in that kind of role!

From what I read about "Moribito", a lot of people were surprised that Haruka Ayase took a FL role there and of course was doing well on all fronts. I was even more surprised by how well all the Spear-fighting looked, no idea how they did it. I also really liked Li Qin as an assassin in "Song of Glory" - another TV series with a lot of potential and some of it wasted, due to some annoying secondary characters and some plot issues. However, I liked the romance between ML and FL there actually, which for me is to say a lot and there were more "Holy Shit moments", fights also IMO Looked better. In "Journey to Love" I really didn't feel anything on the romance side, so by far would prefer a drama without ML with a darker tone/less romance, and an alternative scenario with Ren Xin accidentally joining forces with more of average team sent to die on suicide mission.

@@wm8712 I heard Ayase is actually quite athletic, so maybe that was a factor that contributed to her success in the role. Is Song of Glory worth watching? LSS & the ML have some memorable scenes but at the same time, I think their chemistry isn't 100%.
