Fire boat 8 is not the only Fire boat from Richmond to Sacramento. There is a Fire boat in between Pittsburg and Richmond. It's called the Fire Boat Port Chicago. It is the second largest Fire Boat in the Bay Area. Just slightly smaller than San Francisco Fire Departments Fire Boat Saint Francis.

You are correct. There is a Fire Boat Port Chicago. It is also here in the county located at MOTCO. FB Port Chicago’s primary responsibility is MOTCO. In other words, FB Port Chicago’s response ability depends on the status of MOTCO. Contra Costa FB 8 has the crew and the ability to respond to all calls in the delta. Also, given the size of the two boats (Fire Boat 8 is 42 feet; FB Port Chicago is 72 feet) FB 8 can respond much faster. FB Port Chicago and FB 8 do train together and respond to calls together when called to do so.
