Damo was a massive Sea Eagles fanatic, saw him on The Hill at Brookie many times. Damo was a Renaissance man, he could cook you a great meal whilst talking politics, philosophy and of course, Football. I remember one night at The Strawberry Hills Hotel up near Central Station, Sydney, and Damo was reading the lyrics to a new song from a sheet of paper he was holding up on stage. Classic Lovelock and just one of the many, many, many reasons we love him

Yup, I would have been there too. I saw them so many times I have lost count, has to be a 100 times. When they did their little Sydney tours we would go see them every night, without fail, like 4 times in the same week

Great song, but the video is even better. Is there a higher resolution version anywhere? I can't believe the combination of cool and hilarious. Muppet haired, head banging guitarists, cool shimmying vocalist with a simple zoom out along a ladder / train track. Did the videographer go on to win an Oscar for something? It's between this and Died Pretty's DC for Oz Rock Video of the Century.

Hey Jonathon...it's really a case of you 'needed to be here' Sydney had a very vibrant music scene in the 80's. We know what we had. Today another great aussie rocker died Chrissie Amphlett...you just had to be here mate. A lpot of my international mates reckon Australia but Sydney in particular had the best music scene in the world at that time. Where did you spend the 80's Jonathan? Waht was it like for you?
