I think they're adorable! I do like the less colorful magic horses, too. They suit the winter theme. Edit: I agree that the antler placement looks a little off being so far behind the ears. Interestingly, this wasn't so noticeable with Alvirah and Audra, maybe because their concepts were more fantastical than these two, which are inspired by real animals. I still think they're cute though and I get that they're trying to avoid clipping.

When I read the spoilers for the concepts I was really anxious that they'd put silly colorful details on the magic coats in an attempt to make them more "interesting" or "festive". I LOVE that they didn't. These are my dream horses.

It’s basically pay to win, but I don’t think they deserve hate like that whatsoever, they’ve listened to us on a few things. Every game will have pros and cons with the developers and team but we should be a more kind and accepting community.

An actual caribou magic horse has been my dream concept for years. Ardennes are my favorite breed. I adore the nonmagic coats and the magic coats. This is my dream horse come to life. I have never been so excited for a release. I love them both so much.

@@Danushka_xd the antlers will likely stay there. theres no other place for them as where a horses ears are is where the antlers should go, and they cannot go infront cause the antlers move back. so the only place they CAN put antlers like these is behind the ears given how much shit they were given for releasing pics of the fluffy cats before the bag clipping was fixed.

The antler placements 😭 I love love love the coats and mane styles for both and would so want to buy Hjortensia, but I can't look at the magic version and not be bothered by the antlers sticking out of the neck. I think the Ardennes would also look slightly better with larger, wider, moose-like horns imo. Very good effort SSO, I just wish the antlers came out from an anatomically sensible place.

It’s a caribou not a moose and the antlers have to be behind the ears as there isn’t anywhere to put it because a horses ears are at the top of the head instead of to the side like a normal deer and caribou meaning the place where the antlers would be the horses ears are instead and they can’t put them Infront as it would be crowded and it would clip though the ears

Okay they are both adorable! My only gripe with them is why are the antlers so far back on their skulls? Usually antlers sit between/over the ears on deer, so seeing them pushed behind the ear is really jarring

Everything is really cute, well-made and cool, except the antlers. They likely won't get changed, but it does look quite unnatural, and it's not exactly easy to hide. Especially as someone who knows that a horse's poll (where the head attaches to the neck) is sensitive to pressure. I wish they made the antlers connect on the upper forehead. They can still bend the base of them to keep the points themselves behind the ears. Like the heidrun, the horns twist behind the ears but grow from the front.

@@catgirlseliph Not really? like yes about the clipping but this is not the placement on a caribou or deer. SSO pretty much put it on the pole/ neck while it would, if on a deer, be where the horse ears are. its difficult with tack but to make it look more natural the forehead would have been the place to put it., unfortunately we will just have to accept it and try and ignore it as best we can. They are very cute despite the awkwardness of the placement.

First of all, Laverna’s mask completely covers the bridle and all of the unicorns’ horns go through the bridle and no one complains. Second, the antlers still shouldn’t be that far back, but if sso made the bases of them smaller they could (potentially) move the antlers forward without clipping.

I absolutely adore these two, they're so cute and pretty! I love the magical horses that look more simple with more natural colors, though I do understand they're supposed to be magical and thus why they're usually more unnatural. I'd say my favorite magical horses I own are the sylvan unicorn, katur, and heidrun, and I'll likely add Earik to that collection! I wouldn't mind getting both of them but I don't think I'll have enough star coins, and I prefer not to spend any more money than I have on the game ^^' I love both the magical and non-magical coats for these guys, which isn't something that happens often for me, usually I just like one or the other. The chest fluff on the ardenne, the mane style, and the hooves are all so cute, I imagine he'd be really soft! Q And I love hooves and messy mane of the saddlebred, the tail flicking and standing up reminds me of watching the deer around where I live run off when they get startled too! I think it looks better than fawncy, though I don't want to fault too much since it is older. Though like others have said, the antler placement for the both of them is kinda wonky and weird. I'm really excited for them though, and glad I've been able to save up my star coins, knew it'd be worth it to wait for the Christmas horses

They look quite nice! and their names have nordic meaning 😍 "hjort" means deer in danish (probably same in norwegian and swedish) and "nisse" kind of means elf in danish, but the word doesn't have a direct translation in english. Nisser (plural) have red christmas hats and are small elves basically. I need to get one.

As a norwegian, I love the name Hjortensia. Hjort actually means Deer, which is so fitting! And NISSE?! YES! If I'm not mistaken, hjart is a shortening of the swedish word "hjarta," meaning "heart" ❤

Oh these are so CUTEE. I'm a sucker for natural designs so I'm glad this year they've been leaning more towards that. Don't get me wrong, love a colorful magic horse but sometimes simple/natural inspired is nice. I do understand peoples' complaints about the antlers, though it personally doesn't turn me off from purchasing. Especially as someone who understands game/model design a bit, I can understand why they're there. On one hand you risk clipping which when your model constantly has a clipping issue there's going to be complaints. The thing they could do to fix it is to change the antler shape a bit or have the ears not move, but then you risk wonky looking antlers and none moving ears takes away the animation and prevents the model from "breathing life." Which is always important especially in something you're trying to sell. If I recall, the deer in the winter village don't have moving ears. they still seem life like but their animation cycle also isn't nearly has complex as the horses we ride in the game. A bit disappointing that they probably won't fix the issue, but I do understand why they may not be able to in time. ALL games/models have clipping issues and it is one of the problems that is hard to fix for multiple reasons. Especially on horses/mounts.

UGG!! After the first spoiler of the new jackalope I was hoping for a remake of the fawncy on a newer model. Was even hoping for a saddlebred or a selle as they've got great builds for a deer theme. And they did it. And they totally ruined it glueing the antlers onto the neck instead of properly attaching them to the skull.

All antlered magic horses have had their antlers behind their ears. The tack wouldn't fit otherwise.

The clipping argument is invalid. ALL bridles have a strap behind the ears. You can pick a bridle without a brow band.
