Chari, so many great finishes! Always fun to see your floss changes, too. I hope you enjoy your trip to SD. Spearfish Canyon in the northern Hills is always beautiful. I would caution you that the motorcycle rally is in Sturgis while you are here and that means crowded roads everywhere, and cautious driving. Don’t know if that is an interest, but some love rally time! It is also Quilting Across the Dakotas and many shops are involved so you could quilt shop hop across the state!. You will find the western and eastern halves of the state are very different 😂 I’m looking forward to meeting you at the class with Cathy at the Shanty Stitchers, my LNS. Ginny is fabulous and fun,and though her shop is small, it is mighty. Peg 💛

We know the motorcycle rally is around the same time as our trip so we do not plan on going near that area but have already mentally prepared ourselves for crowded roads. Given a choice we would have picked a different time but the whole trip stemmed from the class. Looking forward to class too! ❤️

Custer Park in SD is beautiful! Don’t miss it - it’s a lovely drive through the park. Plan a half day. We ate lunch at the lodge (it’s large, famous and in the middle of a large meadow).

Your class sounds so fun. My mom lives in the Black Hills of SD. All the places you mentioned are wonderful. Another place if you have time is Custer State Park where the buffalo are and it’s close to Wind Cave. They are awesome to see. I was lucky to go to the yearly round up last fall. Horatios Homade Ice cream in the town of Custer is the bomb. Some of the best if you are there and like ice cream. Have a great trip! Love your channel.
