I had recently broke my code tmp pro and needed a new stick. Pro shop at rink didn’t have anything in curve and flex I use, except this one weird ccm I’ve never seen before. It’s a green Jetspeed ftw. I thought for the win, fk the world? Whatever it was light and the flex/curve I use. Had pro shop cut it to length so ends up around 75-77 flex. It’s probably my favorite stick. A little pingy it the blade, but shots felt quick. Did some research later. Found out the w stands for women. lol whatever, it’s essentially an intermediate stick in an adult length. Plus it’s $100 cheaper than the Jetspeed ft7 pro. We’ll see how long it lasts. I’d be interested in what you think about it, if you ever test one.

excellent content. massive ccm fan for a few years now, but i find myself irritated with their release schedule. blink and your two models behind. i suppose the good news will be, when they encounter a issue such as this, it could be corrected rather quick vs the two years release of other brands. that said i have switched over to sherwood giving the rekker legend pro a honest try. plays much stiffer and there is a decent adjustment coming from the ft6 pro, but im really starting to find my way with it. best of luck on the health front.

Dude you nailed it! Their sticks are junk! Unfortunately my son has to switch from a low kick point Bauer Nexus Sync due to his league being sponsored by CCM. He has broken 2 Ribcor Trigger 8 Pros already. First one broke above blade taking a shot so had it replaced as it was within 30 days. Second one broke on a one timer shot in the first skate above the blade. He is a good shooter and good player this is not someone that odes not know how to shoot using it! So we went to another Trigger 7 and a slap shot from another junior player was deflected by my son in practice and did exactly what your showing to his blade but in other direction as it flexed blade back on deflection and snapped it. For the price of these sticks this is absolutely ridiculous this happens at the rate it does! Carbon fiber bikes dont break like this, baseball bats dont break like this. If these sticks break this easy then a Pro is going through 1 a period. And yes I know they get a different Pro stock then the average retail stick but this was a pro stock stick that the blade broke on with deflection. It is brutal how this market is ripping people off!

Big fan of your channel and all the vids you did in the past. But in this video, probably out of emotions, you’re comparing apples with oranges imo. First of all, the Ghost (yes it was fragile of what I heard - even when my two ghosts are still alive after 3 month) and the Trigger 8Pro didn’t used the helicoid technology at all, so not sure if you then should say that the trigger 9Pro comes with the same blade as ghost and trigger 8Pro when pointing on the helicoid. And even if all the sticks from the upcoming season are coming with the helicoid tech, they are definitely not the same blades at all. Helicoid is just the tech how the layup of the carbon fiber layers is done. Construction, carbon and foams are still different at all the blades. Helicoid tech is just used to increase the blade durability. And btw helicoid is on the tacks sticks since ASVPro - so it’s not totally new and I dont know if you can say that it’s not tested - and you wouldn’t bring it to all the lines, if it wouldn’t have worked out at the ASVPro - right? at least on my team all the players with tacks are more then happy with durabilty. And here we are at the point where I think that’s the good thing with ccm releasing the top sticks every year. If something isn’t working out they can quickly update or change the parts that are not working 100% - only my bank account isn’t super happy with it, since I really want the new sticks asap 😂 PS: I had the chance to try the Tigger 9Pro for a practice - man that thing is really a shooters stick. So I gonna be Ribcor guy next season that’s for sure. Don’t judge a book by its cover. lets test the new sticks as soon as they are launched before telling everyone to avoid ccm sticks😂 Keep up the great work buddy and hope to see you back on ice asap.🙌🏼
@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews8 ай бұрын
Just a couple points, and I appreciate the comment. I never said helocoid is on the trigger 8 and ghost I said their soft blades are an issue and now with helocoid which is even worse going from as6 to trigger 9 and a soft blade on the ft7 ccm is in trouble with its performance and is going to lose its spot as top dog. I have industry insiders telling me ccm knows they must up to the point there is goi g to be an aluminum insert in their blades this year. Take that with a grain of salt but a good friend in the industry was just at a ccm reveal show and it was brought up. I test a lot of stick and find defects pretty easily. Most do not and just go on their way and chip it up to a bad break or whatever. Through the years ccm has pushed the limits with sticks and found great things but they always start with an issue. The pro line is the first example of that. Ft3 pro, as3 pro and trigger 5 pro was CCM’s first performance jump that beat everyone but they did it with weak kick point construction and those sticks blew up so fast. They corrected into the next releases as they went but those sticks were a budget nightmare. Throw in their new “feel” tech blades being softer than before and we have the same thing, failures in the field. I’m not saying avoid ccm this is a prediction video, I’m saying I think those releases gonna have problems. Its fun to predict. Helocoid already has brutal reps online in Reddit as people are busting their sticks all over the place way to prematurely. Throw in how everyone is breaking ghosts and trigger 8s T the blade and you definitely have some untested in the large consumer market products. When I say untested, I mean untested for the massive. Every company tests their products. Some more so then others ( cars for example ) but once you put thousands in the hands of consumers things happen you never noticed. That’s what happened with these soft blades. I bet ccm didn’t see it coming but trust me they know
