My first week with my new CCM JTF6 pros, size 9.5 wide. I had spent the last year with the Marsblade i2 holders on my Supreme skates so it was a big shock to not only wear a composite boot, but also skate with a standard rigid holder. Incredible skates, 3 hours straight of coaching kids and then another hour playing a beer league and no pain whatsoever. I'm often on the ice at least once a day with some days 2 to 4 times at an hour each session. Last night I got very close to a goalie and he wacked my skates with his stick, no issues at all as the toe protection extends further throughout the first half of the skate. Ventilation is really superb as there is a venting hole at the bottom arch of the skate. I didn't mind the Step Steel blades, but they are slightly too tall when turning with collapsed ankles (other players I know also mentioned this). I used a 1/2 Fire Sparx grinder and the Step steel is definitely premium quality. I'm planning on installing another 280mm Marsblade i2s with these in a week so the feeling of these skates will be a big change again with a 20 ft Marsblade rocker setting. I highly recommend these skates, especially if you have very wide feet and you skate a lot.

In supertacks as1 i had 10 EE. What would you say ist the size and width in These?

@blackyslife7456 oh right on. Yea they are classified as 9.5 EE as well. I was a 9 in Bauers regular width D. I switched to barefoot boots/shoes for a year and my foot went up half a size and really wide. When they scanned my foot at the pro hockey life shop in Canada I was a Fit 3 for Bauer skates. Apparently CCM skates are a tad wider as nothing Bauer offered was as wide as it feels in the CCM FT6 pros. Some coaches on my kids' teams thought I had goalie skates on from the front.

@@BWT599 I was just going to ask about forefront/toe box area myself. My issue has always been finding a good retail skate with a "wider than normal" toe box while having decent heel and mid-foot support. I like the fact that the FT6 Pros are a tad bit wider than the Bauer Fit 3 skates (I had UltraSonics in Fit 3 and still had issues with the toe box).

I currently have a size 7D in the 80K Ribcor line. Do you think the 7 Regular or Tapered would be similar fit? I really want to try the Tapered but need to order online and can't try them on in a shop beforehand. Cheers!

Would you say the fitment is similar to the FT4 Pros, or do they run slightly bigger like the AS-V Pros?

@@ice.warehouse Hi Brandon. Thanks for taking the time to answer. That's what I was afraid of. I have used the FT4 Pros and 100K's and confirmed that 8 Wide is the correct size (for me). However, when trying the new Tacks, I noticed the fit of the 8 Wide was noticeably bigger, including in length. I tried the 7.5 W's and they were slightly too small depth-wise. So I guess this generation may not work out, if what you are saying is true. I was hoping the FT6 Pros would be similar to the FT4 Pros in fitment. Especially when I saw your other video where it was stated that the FT6 Pro boot was built off the FT4 Pro. Thanks!

Hey there, the FT6 Pros actually fit just a bit wider than both the Tacks AS-V Pros and the FT4 Pros. Compared to the Tacks Line, the new Game Ready Fit 2.0 provides and even more anatomical shape out of the box along with extra room in the navicular area, which will give the perception of a wider fit. With that being said, the FT6 Pros with their Three Fit System will have a similar fit in Regular to the FT4 Pros but will feel much more anatomical and slightly wider but overall, the immediate step in comfort especially with the redesigned foam liner will be a significant upgrade! I thought these skates had exposed carbon fiber on the boots?

ASV Pro's are the only CCM skates with Carbon fiber reinforcement from what CCM advertises. Though I think some of the older top of the line Tacks skates might have had Carbon fiber in them as well.

It is still the RocketFrame composite but you can see the Super Skin reinforcement that adds a bit of texture to the boot compared to year's past. Chase at IW Hockey

@@ice.warehouse So does the "rocket frame composite" ( which is just ccm's marketing name for their material used ) actually have carbon fiber in it? I can't find my downloaded 2023 ccm catalog, but I recall only the ASV Pro's mentioned carbon fiber in the boot material description. Now, if you look at the European models, they show carbon fiber on the boots for the naked eye to see.......and they have a higher stiffness rating. So what gives?

Saw them in person at my LHS. Overall I think they looked more impressive in photos and videos. In person they just seemed ok. They were nice but I really don't like how the toe caps look ever since ccm came out with the xs tongue system. Looks very bulky and wide. The tongue is also mainly felt still with only the top 25% being memory foam. I was hoping it was entirely molded/foam. The ankle pads look very comfy. I didn't try them on as they only had their display model. The tendon guard also looks very high. Still think the mach is the best looking skate out there right now

@@jlo2o199 for 1300$ cdn they should appeal to me esthetically as well. That was my opinion. And some others may like it or not care.
