CCM RibCor 76K Skate Review

I just bought a pair of the 80k ..love these skates!!! The extra 2mm height takes some getting used to. Tripped a couple of times 🤣

I’ve tried many brands. I currently have 11k Reebok’s and they are good but getting old. I have tacks that don’t work for me. Will these have a similar fit to my old 11ks? Also I had Bauer supremes and they did fit well either.

RibCor's are definitely your best bet! These are easily the most similar fit and feel to the classic Reeboks. Chase at IW Hockey

Ice Warehouse thanks for the response. Will it be an issue to change out the runners back to the old e pros? Do you guys offer that service?

You're welcome! It shouldn't be any more of an issue than a standard holder swap but I'd highly recommend these new SB XS Holders... but I can't fault you for wanting to bring over the E-Pro's because Crosby still uses those on his RibCors lol. We don't currently offer that service but your local shop could do them! Chase at IW Hockey

Ice Warehouse Yeah I was going to mention him. I have Tacks and don’t like the boot or the holders. Too high. Thanks foe the info. I’ll get the 76ks and break them in then if they work out go for the top line Ribcors.

Looking to get these for my kids. How do the fit compare to Vapor EE?

I’m looking at getting either the 76k or pre ordering the new 86k. Would there be any benefit of getting the 86k over the 76k?

I would totally recommend getting the 76K, they are still a higher performing skate over the 86K and they are on clearance! Brandon at IW Hockey

The 76K's are better and totally offer the best bang for your buck...especially since they are on clearance right now. Brandon at IW Hockey

Should these skates be baked or not for adult skates?

I would recommend baking them! You will get a better fit right away and reduce the amount of break-in time. Brandon IW Hockey
