you mentioned that IP addresses are assigned by government entities, in my understanding that is not the case. I used to work in APNIC region and APNIC is not controlled by any government but IANA. ICANN controls IANA. In order to take a subnet from ISP or Telco and advertise it to other ISPs, you need to create a route object which can only be done if you are registered with IP registrar (ARIN, AFRINIC, APNIC and others). Just to clarify it. A few years back there was a discussion to bring ICANN under UN control, but that could bring net neutrality under question.

hi, I have a question regarding the IP address given by the carrier, 203.0.113.0/24. .. the IP address is public IP and you can used that to your organization customer 1 and customer 2.. did you used 203.0.113.0/24 just for the example or you can really use that public IP in the real world?
