Even in 2020, those opening riffs still give me chills to this day. SWAMP ROCK at its best. This song is still fresh, even without the modern tech. they have today. A great classic that will live on forever.

Pfff todays music is covering existing samples and tunes, but in a depressing low frequency. A classic song under a trap beat, autotune & singin like you're committing suicide; that's >2020 summarized.

I became a CCR fan in 1970. My dad died in 67 and my mom married my step dad in 1970. I was 13 and really hard on the poor guy. He was actually a real good man but we didn't talk much. Well the one thing we shared was music. He was from Lodi and the son of share croppers. He grew up dirt poor but knew his music.. CCR was formed 10 miles from his birthplace and he knew John and Tom Fogerty when they were kids. He turned out to be a good "dad" and CCR and bayou and blues music was our bond. I'm 60 now and he's been dead 14 years, but whenever this old man hears CCR I think of my step dad, a real Man...

Luv her, but always luved CCR's version best of course! They got the pace of the Mississippi River and the paddlewheel..and INdeed, "the people on the river are happy to give." "Big wheel keep on turnin'". Shout out to my Captains and Crew, and all y'all!
