Excellent tutorial. I've been doing Hapkido for 35 years. I was a bouncer for 10 years in some really rough bars (just on weekends when they needed extra man power). I was a 2nd - 3rd Dan around that time. The action you did at 4:42 of your video was one of my 4 main go to techniques. Its easy to just do it as a push (no strike) for safety reasons. In reality, it is easy to get my hand off of the throat but no one ever did as they panicked and freaked out while I walked them to the exit firmly pushing on their neck. It is also amazingly easy to apply when the hostile party squares off with you, puffs out his chest and raises his chin to subconsciously make himself look bigger and more threatening. Slide up from below their sight line and you're there. I teach this technique/movement to my students but you articulate it so well I will start describing it your way.

Thank you very much I greatly appreciate your feedback And hearing your personal experiences in its application. The last security work that I did was many years ago graveyard shift in a level one trauma center In a major metropolitan area. They frowned on me grabbing people by the throat. Lol
