I'd more say that ppl, after a certain ages, should retake a driver's exam in order to still be allowed on the roads. But idk if 68 is an age to say that sm1 is too impaired to drive bc of old age (tho, I have seen older generations be stupidly reckless abt vehicle safety). And for this case, it seems like the driver may have also been stupid and reckless rather than just impaired bc of old age.

I didn't know cars have a black box. So why can't they find every car that has ever been stolen since black boxes became a thing? I have never heard anyone talk about tracking the blackbox in a stolen car?

68 year old driver was driving the car and he was fighting with his wife in the car. wow! What a laughter and he was charge with manslaughter with killing that multiple people. I really feel bad for the the citizen of Korean since there law can’t protect them

i can not say here. but in other accidents, yes the onboard computer did go full throttle on its own. even cutting off the drivers input ( via the abs system) on the brakes.

Wtf? What kind of car has a black box equipped in it? I have owned Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, and Volkswagen. None have black boxes equipped in it as far as I know of. That is some next level privacy infringement. You could be talking about private things in the car, and it is recorded, and someone can listen to it. The only compromise that I could think of is that they set it up so that it will only record for 24 total hours. Once 24 hours is recorded, it will reset the memory and record a new 24 hours. But still, this can easily be misused by someone to spy on others. They can reporgram the black box or modify it to transmit it's data into the cloud server. This is a scare revelation to me. Cars with black box? What next, smartphones quitely recording your conversations? There are no privacy anymore in this world.

@@apumpkinsmom I know what a dashcam is. I also never heard anyone anywhere calls a dashcam as black box. Black box is a specific term used on an equipment in aviation. Most current aircraft are equipped with a black box. It records voice recordings in the cockpit, and also other various things like steering input and plane settings. So saying that the car has a "black box" is a very specific thing to say. My own cars have dashcams. But it only records the front and rear view of the car. It doesn't even record sound/voice. For my own privacy. If they really meant dashcam than the news script writers are very bad at their job. Why call it something that it is not.
