The Viewtron IP-180-4 is a 180 degree IP camera constructed using two 5-megapixel lenses that are stitched together to make a single 8-megapixel IP camera. This 180 IP camera uses a single Mac address and IP address. You can power this camera by plugging it into a PoE port on the back of a Viewtron NVR, or by using an external PoE switch.
In this demo, Mike shows the camera's installation, mounted at a height of approximately twelve and a half feet, as he navigates the camera's range by walking 120 feet in both directions to give you a full appreciation of its ultra-wide-angle view. This expansive range is perfect for monitoring large outdoor areas, providing excellent surveillance coverage.
You’ll see the 4K resolution video surveillance footage directly from the HDMI output of the Viewtron NVR. Mike demonstrates this by standing almost directly below the camera to showcase its downward visibility. As Mike moves farther away, even up to 125 feet, you can still see him, which speaks volumes about the camera's effective range. Although at these distances, facial recognition isn't possible, the camera ensures that activities and movements can be easily monitored.
One of the standout features mentioned is the camera’s 8-megapixel resolution, capturing video at 20 frames per second. As evidenced by the passing cars in the background of the video, this frame rate maintains excellent video fluidity and quality, which is critical for accurate surveillance.
