Not gonna lie, enjoying Witcher Netflix a lot more than I thought I would. Henry Cavill kills it as Geralt. Not a perfect show, but a solid season 1 that sets a good foundation. It was definitely pretty obscure internationally outside of eastern Europe and some parts of Asia, before the games. Prove to me that the books were popular in USA or another western country before 2007. But even if I were to use your argument, if the books were so popular why the 5 books that are translated to English, not get translated to English until after the 1st game? This is all before the fact that a real popular book like LOTR has 57 languages. 20 really isn't that much especially when there's 100 different languages that reach over 7 million speakers. Back when he tried to sue CDPR for a couple millions, it was just for trying to save his son who unfortunately had been diagnosed with cancer. Recently his son died so he said he does not care anymore." I think anyone who is on some level a reasonable and sympathetic person can understand that a good father will do and try anything and everything to save a sick family member, especially when it's their own child. Bethesda lost me recently, due to reasons obvious to any of your viewers. but i digress. it’s great to see you take up arms and call out bullshit, as well as flex your appreciation towards the good stuff. this channel is a bastion of quality content, in an endless sea of mostly garbage. also, i haven’t done the necessary homework to know exact numbers, but it makes me really happy to see that you have been blowing up in the past few months. @@TheAngrySaxon1 Sapkowski is richer by far than any single person working at CDProject. He didn't "need to fill his pockets" so much as he was simply tempted by the idea that he COULD grab some more money, and decided to go for it. Well just because you CAN take something from somebody weaker than you, doesn't mean that you should. The games became good because of the sheer hard work of the developers. They could have put out a shallow shell of a game with poor writing, like so many RPGs that come out today, and the game would have been forgettable. It was their hard work that made Witcher 3 great. That is when the author stepped in the grab the profits of their hard labour and risk. Remember, he is one single man profiting from his books. But it took dozens of people to make Witcher 3, and it is their massive project that he tried to extort from in the end. The individual devs might never be a millionaire like him.

Then, after seeing their work take off, he is suddenly interested & feels CHEATED? It's unfortunate, but all he has done make himself appear to be an asshole (regardless of his actual reasons/personality) & shown he has a very low standard of morals, to the point that he is willing to renege on the deal he signed with CDPR.
