I'm glad that Owen/CDEK have decided to compete with the annoyingly popular Fnirsi 1014D, which has traditionally been overpriced for what it is. Fnirsi now makes many excellent products, but the 1014D is not one of them and they will hopefully upgrade or replace it soon with something that is a tool rather than a toy.

Hi, I'm started to think that CDEK is just a brand of Liliput to send Owon devices to the market at a lower price. With this new updated hardware, this is really nice as oscilloscope, almost rigol level nice. Thanks for watching.

yes and the 1014d front end seems only supporting 30mhz, it claims 100mhz, above 30 is -3db down.

but 1014d here(indonesia) is cheaper around 140usd, the sds1102s is 400usd, so is fair price to fnirsi side. i acctually buy zoyi zt703s, update the filmware to 1.4.2 and is very good

I have pretty much the same scope with another brand on it, but the USB power source is a really nice feature. (mine connects directly to the mains)

Technically not in all cases. I have seen Hanmatek with DC or DC power, but not Vevor or another rebrand called Labloot which are AC powered. That may affect the internal specs.

Thanks for this video, I see that this fibroscope has an usb charger with no ground, so with this device I can measure instruments connected to the home electrical circuit without risk of ground loop?

The thing with owon is it makes your local supermarket brands as well as it's own, in my country we dont have cdek, we have voltcraft, and currentlt the cheapest oscilloscope on the local market, (not shipped from china directly but already full paid import and taxes and shiped from local wearhouse ) is the 4 channel 150mhz version of that looks exactly like your white owon expect it is also black like cdek and i am tempted to buy it for that 260 euro because 2 channel owon, hantek and sigilent are all 300 now fro local distribution and only fnirsi or peaktech can be found for less (175 and up still 2 channels only) while geniuine owon sells from 280 euro directly from theyre website, so it seems to be a simple rebrand, the price isn't that suspicious either

I think the fact that it is ONLY 500MS/s sampling rare total should have been mentioned (unless I missed it). I makes a difference, so BW AWARE, as most are 1GS/s

Hi Steven, if I may, let me correct you. It is really 1GS/s BUT divided by 2 channels. The thing is, and I think I mentioned in the video (sorry if I forgot), normally and oscilloscope can use the full 1GS/s in 1 channel and divide by 2 when using the 2 channels. This one, I don't remember exactly now, but I think that it is also at 500MS/s either you use one or two. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@TechCornerTV Fair point, but you still lose the ability of 1G/s in single channel mode., that most other scope in that class provide, ...yes at a higher price. Overall I think one would be better off buying scope from Hantek for little more, apart from true 1G/s, it is a better scope. On a side note, I do LOVE the low voltage power input, making it great for PSU work if you use a battery to power it. The FRNSI has this, but it is a BAD scope that does not meet it's specs, at least the CDEK is honest!

So I picked up one of these in the end, and using a uni-t g932 to generate signals, seems to work fine, but connect up the probe on the cdek and something odd is happening, it is picking up an unknown signal with a peak of about 50 hz...even though i'm generating a 10hz sine, tried it with pulse and other wave forms too and I still get this weird unknown signal...Any idea whats going on? I hit the autoset but doesn't change anything, and both probes are picking up the same weird signal.

I just watched the video. I just subscribed to your channel My understanding is that if it can be battery powered then it has ground isolation like a portable oscilloscope for repairing switching power supplies. Am I right or was this an incorrect assumption?

I've been looking around for relatively cheap but quality signal multi channel high voltage capable units for PEMF experiments...this one has come up, along side the owon...you talk more about measuring than singal generation, but as the entry level pemf, from my ognorant perspective this would be fully capable and closer to upper of the range for diy pemf... Would you agree with that? Or suggest a different model for this kind of price.

Exact same software interface as the Hanmatek DOS1102, so assuming the same manufacturer. That split screen XY interface with no way to full-size the XY view is awful, and is the reason I sold it.

Hi, considering the other entry level oscilloscopes available, 1104D, 2D10/15, etc, this has a better interface in my opinion, not including obviously Rigol, Siglent and so on, that have a much higher price and specs. Thanks for watching.

@@TechCornerTV It's not a bad scope, as long as you don't plan on using XY mode. I just can't understand why they didn't at least allow full-screen XY to be an option - it's such an easy and basic expected thing coming from any other scope. The best thing any of these low end scope companies could do is to just open source their firmware - the community would go absolutely wild.

Hi, I bought this suspecting already that this will be a Owon product, to be honest, I think I kind of lost myself during the video establishing that trough comparations 😁 the bottom line is I really liked this for the price we can get it, if you analyze it, you can buy this complete and with quality oscilloscope almost for the price of portable one with 2 channels and 100Mhz.
