I've just sat, fascinated, by a Video that consisted mostly of "blah, blah, blah!" For some reason, all of my life, electronis have remained completely illogical and foreign to me, Nothing but admiration for someone who knows what he's doing, and explains so well. Nice one, POC!

thanks it's difficult to know at what level to put ideas across, make it technical and you lose people make it simple and you lose just as many as they get bored and switch off, any way you liked it so thanks for that.

Very interesting, I made one of your CDI coil testers and use it. But just like the coil tester video you do not show us how to use this device. Some of us need pointing in the right direction!

Any decent outboard service manual will show how to trace and detect cdi ignition faults,but most will quote direct dc (peak voltages) that most folks have no means of checking, this modified multimeter will allow you to see if values are within specification.

where u get 1.343 from? Peak voltage is 1.41 (square root of 2) X RMS voltage (UK would be 230 x 1.41) = 324v
