Cjust ask something How many cdjs does adj need in a liveset? I mean most djs use at least 2 or 3 and other djs try to look "cool" with 4 but do you really need all that equipment? You omly only need one mixer but with four cdjs sounds like a lot. unless your doing a 3 and a half hour set. Stick with 2 or 3 maybe just one mixer, one cdj, abd one laptop I don't know. All I'm trying to say is, when djs get on stage, how much do they really need? Because you got one cdj one bothe ends of the mixer which makes it look like this awesome mixing table but really its just one mixer and two cdjs. So how much should the dj use in a liveset (equipment wise)? Also one more thing. I plan on becoming an edm prodycer myself and I notice mist pro djs use cdjs and mixers and some use all other types of equipment which confuses me. So I just wanna what would ve tge right equipment for a beginner dj like myself.

I'm trying to connect 2 CDJ900Nexus this way, but for some reason, it doesn't appear the "traktor side selector (ABCD) after i click link and ok. Can somebody help me? I'm using traktor scratch pro 2.6 and the cdjs firmware is 1.20

I work part time stacking shelves in a supermarket and I just bought myself a pair of CDJ 2000 Nexuses. If you want something badly enough you can do it, you just have to be extremely dedicated and patient.

Yes. The settings file is a feature in traktor which can save any of the settings you have selected. This will work when setting up any of our CDJs or mixers as controllers or soundcards

If you are already a traktor user, this means that you can arrive at a club and use the CDJs as controllers instead of carrying your existing controllers with you. If you had a CDJ set up, we would advise that you use them with rekordbox.

The settings file as shown in this video is a Traktor feature for saving device settings. rekordbox has a feature called "My settings" which does not work for the old CDJ2000s. More information on rekordbox "My Settings" can be found on our KZbin channel

Full Traktor integration, while being able to switch back to USB or CD on the fly...that's simply an amazing combination. Looking forward to owning one of these...in the far far future haha, but the tech's got me pumped nonetheless!

If the music has been analysed by rekordbox and you are getting those BPMs, then they could be that BPM. Try analysing your music in both "Dynamic" & "Normal" modes. This option can be found in preferences, then track analysis mode. Once you have done this, try beat-matching again. How are you using the CDJs with Serato?

So if you are using sync, are you using 2 or more CDJ-2000nexus? The CDJs need to be linked with a lan cable and all music must be analysed by rekordbox first. The DJM-2000nexus has a sync master control, but it is not vital for the sync between 2 CDJ-2000nexus. Watch our Video on sync on our channel

Some people prefer to use traktor with various controller options at home, then bring their laptop and use Traktor with CDJs in a club, meaning you have no need to carry a controller around with you.

If i plug into a djm nexus 900 as my soundcard, must i still use a USB cord per CDJ to use the time coded control? Ive plugged into a 900 and used the CDJS and switched the inputs on the mixer to DIGITAL. But if i pressed link, would i be able to use the time coded control?

I open the beat grid editing menu and adjust the beat grid intervals. You can fine adjust the bpm this way. I do have to do this manually but I've managed with it.

ive got in touch with pioneer after my comment, they said its known issue, and they passed to engineers. to be honest when i know there will be a cdjs 2000 in a club/gig i always prefer USB drives or Rekordbox link via router instead

I've experienced this quite often and also problems in situation where let's say I play first, then a guy with a USB stick and then me again, then often Traktor will have lost the connection to one of the decks and only way to get it working again will be a reboot of both my laptop (mac) and the CDJs :(

I have a similar problem. I use rekord box to put on a usb just incase I need to. And some of my tracks show the bpm at 140.01 110.02 etc. That .01-.03 really throws me off. This is after I analyze too. How do I fix this. Even when i used serato to a pair of CDJs the bpm kept jumping up and down by a minimal number enough to throw of the beat match

I see you point. But seriously, if you're a traktor user, then i think it would be very different to use the cdj's as a traktor controller, and how many want to play on a computer, if they have a pioneer mixer and cdj's in front of them.

You connect your cdjs to your mac via usb cable and they work as a single soundcard, so the cdjs output go to an analog mixer.

Scenario: 2 cdjs 2000's as soundcards , usb cables to macbook pro, traktor 2.6, OSX 10.6.8 , cdjs fw 4.20. if i unplug 1 usb then traktor crashes instantly. anyone experienced this?

Can you connect your DJM 900nexus and CDJ 2000s via lan and send all the midi info via only one usb in the DJM? Or you need a usb hub for the CDJs, in other words, lan won't send the message.?

It's 2017 and I Still use OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion & Traktor Pro 2.7. . Is the CDJ-2000-NXS2 with advanced Hid Mode Compatible with Traktor 2.7 or will I have to buy the CDJ Nexus one?

Actually, I have very similar problem with rekordbox. And most of the times (like, about 95% of tracks analysed with BPM at 140.01/137.99 etc.) are not properly analysed. When I look at a beat grid, at the beginning of a track it looks like it is lined up perfectly, however on a latter part of a track it goes off. Correcting BPM to round value (ie. 140.01 -> 140 BPM) on Beat Grid Adjust fixes beatgrid misalignment. This means BPM is not analysed perfectly on rekordbox.

Hey Pioneer I tried what your spokes person said with connecting the cdjs through the usb connectors on the mac but they both keep sending the signal out through one channel, im using the cdj 2000 nexus and a djm 900 srt model, I want to have the controls for the cdjs run into the trackto but have all the audio in the mixer still run analog as if the mixer was still receiving the information from the cdjs from the usb stick.

Hey Jeff. I know this is a bit old & I'm sure you figured this out already but I'd like to respond just in case others run into this problem. The reason it's not working for you is because you are using a 900SRT. The SRT is designed for Serato. You need to run a 900nexus for Tractor.. Hope this helps others who are having this problem. It actually happened to me in the opposite way. I originally bought a 900nexus & was trying to run it with Serato & I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work. It's because I needed the 900SRT-( Serato) version. Lol.

I was wondering about how many CDJs can be handled by one USB port with a HUB? I have a 16GB RAM, 2.8GHz i7 Haswell, Macbook Pro Retina from 2013 and every time no matter which club I play in if I connect more than two decks it starts to not recognise commands from the decks, and then if it does work, it all of a sudden will slow down mid song to like a half speed, which is not cool :/ if anyone has any experience advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ok so I don't know if this is Traktor's fault or not, but when I use HID mode on the CDJ-2000NXS setup I have access to, Traktor crashes every once in a while when I load a track into Deck A. Is anyone else having this issue? I'm running Traktor 2.7.1

any professional will tell you, when you have multiple djs on in a nightclub, not having to unplug anything has been one of the biggest advancements of djing in years. any dj should be able to adapt. the cdjs take serato, traktor, cd, usb without the need to pull the mixer out once. its an all round player, everyone has there format at home, vinyl, midi controller etc, whatever they can afford, and a cdj emulates all of them so ALL types of djs can be catered for.

This is not record box. This is producers that produce the tracks a couple bpm off so kids like you that don't have autosync will never be able to beatmatch... you could import all those tracks into ableton live and make them a solid 140 bpm... It's never exactly perfect its the best part of beatmatching.... new age is clueless.
