@@priyonjoni well deserved 🦾. Quick question: How’s it work with remix decks? And is there any way to toggle decks quickly (other than the jog wheel click)? I’m using 2 decks but playing on 4 . So 2 track decks and 2 remix decks but I need the ability to toggle. Currently I’m using DVS and some midi mapping to do this on with Maschine.

That ain’t happening. I work for Pioneer DJ, but I’m not saying that to put them down (I like the team a lot!) A&H’s jog controllers were not exactly big sellers, including the controllers that they put out that had jogs for Traktor. They are pretty comfortable putting our mixers, which fit well with their current product line. I’m willing to be pleasantly surprised, but I would be shocked. If it happens I’ll be the first to congratulate them, but it would be a huge shock.

It's always been like that (lag) in HID mode / Traktor. Even with the CDJ 2000. At least in my experiences. Good stuff though. Always good info from you

So using mac, there is no need to use the pioneer audio agregator anymore ? The versions before the 3000 always need to get the usb plug then use the agregator for traktor to recognize them as a audio device

The aggregator driver is necessary if you’re using a mixer without a digital interface.

Great video, Pri yon Joni. I thought my 2012 MBP was faulty even after installing a 2 TB SSD and upgrading RAM to 16GB. The lag is quite obvious especially with cueing in HID mode on the CDJ3000s with Traktor. I also discovered that connection in Pro Link is disconnected when the USB cables are connected too.

I haven’t tried this yet, but have you tried the Pro DJ Link method of HID mode? If you install the Pro DJ Link Bridge and have all CDJs connected to a switch, you only have to connect to one HID device via USB. Export mode works the same way as well.

I want to know how to come in to a gig, and setup all the usb and the hub to the djs when the other dj before me is either using another laptop with the cdjs, and or another dj using recrodbox usb thumb drives. Basically the process of how I take over in HID from someone else using HID or using USB thumbdirve. the order I do it in so I don't fuck up their dj set or interrupt it, but have a smooth setup and transition to my setup on Traktor...?

How come you were using the DJM-750 as your audio device? I have to use the CDJ/XDJ aggregator every time I use HID mode with Traktor

I prefer using the mixer because by making it the CDJs, there is more digital to analog and analog to digital stages.

Hi -any idea i connect two cdj 3000 to djm v10 by using HID mode to Traktor pro 3. Then I set up deck A and B its lock all good- pioners responding on traktor pro 3. But i burn my brain down on some point both deck A and deck B on mixer DJMv10 plays throw one channel . anny idea ?

1. Click the SOURCE button and switch to load the timecode file on the usb drive 2. Go into the DJ software and select REL mode (as opposed to INT for HID)

I still use traktor Time code cds with interface audio 6. Does it work the same way like with all other cdjs models. I didn’t see a slot to insert the traktor time code cd.

You can rip the timecode to a digital file and play it directly on the deck, but that is still basically the same as playing the timecode on a vinyl record. If you want direct control as mentioned, you want HID mode, too bad it also has lag just like DVS. Seems like the S4 Mk3 is the only way to truly have good spinning platter control in Traktor. Serato is the only other software where you can actually have spinning platter control direct via the USB and software link. Its not bad, its improved quite a bit, but I still like Traktor better for other things. No one platform really seems to quite have it all LOL

I have a question about the CDJ Mode issue (I am one of those house heads you mention and have been waiting for this feature for years), did Native Instruments only managed to solve it on CDJs 3000? Or just with having the 3.5 Traktor version is now solved for any previous model such as, for example, the CDJ-2000 Nexus or NXS2? I think it will take long for CDJs 3000 arrive to my country or to be found in any club here because of the pandemic and the crisis in the clubbing scene... Thanks in advance

HID mode support for the CDJ-2000NXS2 has been available for Traktor for a few years now. Each new CDJ support is “added” to the list.

I think the problem lays within Traktor. I'm a die-hard Traktor guy, but that 3.5 update also gives me those laggy drop-outs. Never happened to audio on 3.4. However, the input lag is still persistent everywhere when it comes to HID mode on all DJ players. For die-hard scratch guys timecode will be better. For regular djs, HID is the way to go.

Too bad for traktor becouse i think it is best for mixing, and have the best FX... But this jog lag is isue and parallel waveforms do not works in the same way like waveforms of rekordbox... In rekordbox waveform graphic speed is the same for all 4 decks and in traktor speed of waveform changes as you change pitch...
