Cds vs Vinyl | Why I started collecting CDs

I haven’t bought vinyl since ‘82 wen I 1st heard cd’s & have NEVER looked back !!!! Cd’s are by far the best sound quality over vinyl,, cassettes…with cd’s u don’t have 2 worry bout skips..snap crackle & pop etc….wen u buy vinyl new it could still skip as well as used vinyl..I’ve never had the problem with cd’s & as I said I’ve been buying only cd’s since 1982 & im still using my CD player I bought in ‘82…

Wow, sounds like a great investment over the years. I hope to keep my collection for a very long time also and that’s why I’ve been collecting cds as well. But I also do feel like cd might make a strong come back and prices are going to skyrocket similar to vinyls which is why I’m collecting them now while cheap

Most CDs are not worth as much as the vinyl version.

For most collectors, music is not about price, selling, reselling etc., it's about enjoying the music they have. Music is what collectors make them happy, not on how much an album cost when they bought it. I have 2000+ cd's and did not pay any more than 1 euro each for a cd, for my music collection.

@@45oldies10 There must be some CDs you want that cost more than 1 euro, maybe an out of print rare CD ? It is the music that's important,I agree, you must have come across a CD that costs a bit more than one euro by now if you have 2000.
