In this video I share one of the formulas I use when I make embellishments and clusters. There are lots of formulas that can be used, this is just one of my go-to processes and can be used with any style or color of product brand that you enjoy. Here is the name of Debbie’s channel: Kipp’s Korner (I’ll come back and try to embed the link) / kippskorner
And here is my Etsy shop: www.Etsy.com/shop/CreatingWithScraps
Thank you for watching and happy creating.

Hi, Cori. You are a pleasure to listen to. I discovered the junk journal world about two years ago. I wish it would have been sooner as I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December 2021. I am doing well. Nature, a positive mindset and my love of making journals for my family makes me feel like I am not sick at all. Thank you for your kindness that you always share.

Hi Michelle, it’s an absolute pleasure to meet you my crafting friend. I too am facing health problems and find junk journaling as a release. I learned of junk journaling just a short couple of months ago. My heart is functioning at 31% and I had 3 heart surgeries between 2020 and 2021, I also injured my back in 2009 so I understand your struggles and love that positive attitude you are fighting for life with. I’m trying to get everything together for my first journal so my kids will have something that’s special for them. When I got my diagnosis I started writing letters to them explaining their birth stories and what a fabulous journey it’s been watching them grow. They’ve also teased me about my joy of crafting but I truly hope they feel and understand just how much it took for me to bring it together and that’s all from a very special place in my heart. I love watching Cori and couple of others while spending most of my time in bed. I will be sending loads of positive strength, love and prayers your way ❤️❤️🙏🙏 I pray you have a very long healthy, happy and blessed life❤️🙏

@@momof2641 Thank you so much, Haley for your lovely sentiments. It saddens me to think of you in bed. I have crafted all my life. Have done lots of decoupage and also design and sell jewellery. I have made a journal for my daughter and my sister so far. Currently working on one for my mother. I put far too much time into them LOL but that is me and my perfectionist nature. I want to leave each of my immediate family a remembrance of me. After Mom's journal, I will be doing one for my son. Now, that will be a challenge, but I will enjoy the switching of the gears...not working with pinks, purples and pastels. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Sending healing vibes your way. Stay strong!! ❤❤ 🙏🙏

@@michellesmith6873 That’s really awesome that you’ve been able to get those journals done, I found out about this amazing craft far too late to be able to get one done for my husband and kids. I’m pushing to get one finished and leaving it for both kids to find special treasures in. Some sweet ladies in one of the groups I’m In have been helping me get some items together to try to get it together. I’ve found some of the bestest of friends through this craft. Such an amazing group compared to everyday walks of life, they’re so uplifting and sweet. Hang in there pretty lady, I’ll be sending lots of love and prayers your way ❤️🙏

Hi Cori- I purchased a mini journal from you a few years ago. I still love it and refer to it often. I am an avid crafter, but not for sale, I create to gift family and friends. You teach with such a wonderful soft voice and detailed instruction. Your videos are such a pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing your tremendous gifting with all of us. Fantastic examples. I love your idea to keep adding more until it's the size/look you want. I like your reminder these can be used as greeting card fronts; I forgot about that! And such a fun idea as a mass make project when you are done with a larger project, or to make some of these as part of a larger project to get rid of all the extra scraps.

Cori~ I really like your technic of making clusters! The ones in this video are really lovely! The blue and white checked caught my eye especially. Maybe I will take supplies to make some when my sister and I go camping the first week of September so I can make some. We take crafting supplies and roam to nearly towns during the day hitting secondhand stores and one small town has an excellent pharmacy that also has a big craft paper selection! Better than our Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's! Then we craft during the evening and late into the night.

Hi Ms. Cori, if you have any ephemeras left, I would love to have one !! Anything except no red!! 😜... 🤗 I love your ephemeras, I followed you and made one of those thick scrapbooks using Tim holtz scraps and you showed me how to do a negative with the die cut and using newspaper in the negative area. Gosh I just love those.. you also made one of those tiny Tim holtz junk journals. you showed how to make your own little envelopes and the glassine tiny bags and folded it to add two tags one real thin n the other with a piece of of fuzz or fizz cloth ribbon thats frayed ,You know the one that come in Earth died colors and are shredded on each side of the cloth ribbon. You cut them and make little tabs for the top of the tag That is just awesome. It's all awesome!!! I love trying the things that you make. It's a blast. Your style is right out my alley. I bought quite a few floral dies and those watercolor markers because of you. Lol. I love them .. I never thought about using a marker on stamps to stamp on fabric and such. Your ideas are just fantastic. It's not the same old, same old. Okay well have a great weekend. Catch you in the next video lol

Loved this video and it inspired me to have another cluster making session! I like to have a regular shaped piece like a circle or rectangle as the base but then put torn pieces of whatever on top. I keep a box into which I throw small patterned offcuts and keep a smaller box of tiny punched flowers in it so when I want to create clusters I'm ready to go. Some bling or a brad often completes the process.

Thank you for everything you do. I didn't even realize I was using a formula of my own till you said it. Mine is book page or pages and/or music page( different colors and fonts), some kind of colorful bit or strip, focal image and words from a book and/or written words. I don't have labels and such so I use what I have.

Thank you for the wide variety of examples. And I always attracted to Tim Holtz embellishments, but then think, "What am I going to do with these?" And, I guess its time to pull out my stamps. Again, thank you.

Well, of course I love every suggestion here...your artwork is STUNNING! But I'm very intrigued by your perfect little bows, and wonder if you will share your technique. My bows are very much hit-or-miss.
