It’s not a lost cause, there plenty of us who are waking up and voicing ourselves. Find your tribe and stick with them would be my suggestion And your voice matters massively, even at times it may be the only one. I have family members who thought I was crazy in the beginning, who are now willing to question the narrative. I consider this a personal win Stick with your convictions…

The world is like having a stovetop with two burners. The current story is on the front burner and will be pushed back to the back burner. A while ago, the Ukraine war was on the front burner. Unfortunately, it was pushed back on the back burner when the new 'hot' story of the Israel/Hamas war was on the front burner. Unfortunately, as time progresses, it too will be pushed back on the back burner to be replaced with a new 'hot' story.

Same here...Palestine and those kids are on my mind 24*7.. I too feel scared like what are we?? There are people in charge who can decide who gets to live and who does not and there's a whole world supporting this idea! It's bizzare! I don't know why but I keep seeing my kid's face in all those kids.. I swear I am not able to look at humans the way I used to..

Tw : Mentions gory, violent visuals. I am a news junkie. Generally like to keep up with what's happening, have an opinion on everything and be on the "right" side of any debate. After the Hamas attack, some news organizations claimed that Hamas had beheaded babies. Obviously they were asked to prove it. Like any other story, i came back from work and looked to investigate. A few minutes in, i caught myself searching the internet for proof of beheaded, not just murdered, but beheaded israeli babies. I don't know how to explain it. It was like an out of body experience. I asked myself, is that really what it had come down to? It was as if i was having a conversation with myself for the first time. Like i was looking at myself naked for the first time. I know this is massively self obsessive with actual civilian deaths and shit. But i feel i need to write this so forgive me. After that something broke in me. I drank like a fish for 2 days straight and didn't look at my phone expect for calls. Someone around me switched on the tv which had visuals of dead bodies of palestinian kids and i think i had a panic attack. Haven't been following the news at all. That's best for now i think. When younger, i used to think it was important to be on the right side of issuea coz it would affect attritional change, build public opinion. I was one of those who wrote long posts on every topic. Later i become more cynical but told myself that i had to keep up for my sake, not the world's. I needed to define my values, protect them and not let external incentives and pressures change them. Now i don't know lol. Theres elections coming up and i don't think i will vote. Never missed an election before. What's the point. A friend told me that this is a temporary crisis of faith. I don't feel like hoping for it to be so.
