I think the canyoneering experience was one of the most exhilarating outdoor experiences we’ve ever done, and I’m so glad we went for it (even though it was way out of our comfort zones)! 🇵🇭 This is sadly our final video in the Philippines, BUT the travel content doesn’t stop here- we are currently in a country on the other side of the world, filming another exciting travel series. That was a jam back adventure video. The trip to Oslob, Philippines to swim with the whale sharks was incredible. The trip to Kawason Falls and your canyoneering experiences was truly spectacular. I cannot believe that you did all those things in one day. But you saved the best for last. You visited with your friends Eric and Sarah at their high rise accommodations overlooking SIU city with those spectacular views of the city’s spectacular night skyline.

You could have skipped the long lines for walk-ins. You should have registered with a hotel around the area to be able to enjoy the perks of being a priority. Most hotels/resorts/hostels, if not all, within the area are assigned each with their own boat and boat crew for their guests. That means, you don't need any number to wait for your turn. The hotel/resort staff will facilitate every step of the way, from dropping their guests to the area, to registering, to boarding, to picking them up when they're done swimming. We went there twice and both times, we registered for the whale sharks with the resort that we stayed in and the rate was the same as with the walk-ins. I found out that the resort we stayed in (and all others) also accept walk-in guests (non-staying) for the whale sharks attraction but only need to add P100 more. During my last visit in 2018, it was only P300 for locals and P500 for foreigners. I think today, there's only one rate for all, whether you're a local or foreigner.

Please do your research on ethical practices before participating in animal tourism. The whale shark industry in Cebu is not done in an ethical way at all.
@ailyn39827 ай бұрын
The whale shark isn't cage, they're free to go after 12noon, the downside will be, they get used to people which made it dangerous for these whaleshark. It is questionable, yes. But it is more healthier than of zoo's that gathered tourist seeing those poor animals in cage and in big aquariums away from their natural habitat.
@reihalondres95187 ай бұрын
Hypocrite!!!!! Is zoo ethical? Is safari ethical? Is eating chicken ethical ? Is eating fruits ethical? Stop your hypocritical western standards in our throat!
@travelwithchristina39607 ай бұрын
Caging animals is not the only unethical way to treat them. Humans should NOT be feeding wild animals. These sharks are fed everyday in the same area which has caused them to stop migrating. Again, please do your research on ethical animal tourism because swimming with the whale sharks in Cebu is NOT IT. It’s so clear from the drone shots where you can see so many boats basically herding the whale sharks. It was a bit heartbreaking to watch.
@podcastlimited88197 ай бұрын
SHUT UP! The situation in Oslob is way better than those animals found in any big aquarium not to mention that the local government is also doing constant efforts to mitigate the impact. Please don't use Oslob to spread your negativity and stupidity.
