I get it they had to throw her in because the actor that played Ralph Dibney got hit with the Cancel Culture Hammer and got fired but like Cecile isn’t a good replacement. She’s not as charismatic at Ralph. Now i know ur gonna say it’s not fair to compare her to Ralph okay fine. Then lemme ask you this What has Cecile really done in The Flash? What’s her role? I mean we got Barry (the main hero) Cisco and Chester (the guy in the chair) Iris (the love interest and sometimes the woman in the chair) Joe (the cop sortve like the Jim Gordon of The Flash) Caitlin (the doctor that helps Flash when he gets a boo boo) And then we have Cecile. Mind reader. Although wait at first she can hear thoughts but then for some reason the writers changed her powers to only be emotional thoughts. And also what value does Cecile really bring to Team Flash? Now back to Ralph for a second. At least Ralph had charisma, he had a great story where a washed out cop gets redemption and becomes a superhero called The Elongated Man. Like that’s cool as shit! Meanwhile we have Cecile. Just so we can have another black female other than Iris 🤔 yeahhh idk man. Like seriously tho what has Cecile really done for Team Flash? Maybe i’m wrong and you know something i don’t know. It’s been a minute since i’ve watched the Flash and the later seasons are kind of a blur to me. So please. Educate me if i’m wrong

The pregnancy storyline was SUPPOSED to go to Iris West but since the audience hated her and wished for her death in S3, they gave everything they would've done for Iris to Cecile post S4 hence why they forgot to develop Iris as a journalist. The Forces storyline in S7 are supposed to be Nora and Bart as kids beginning to get their powers. Remember they cannot introduce child actors if the fandom is TOXIC - Jake Lloyd

Her pregnancy is what caused her powers to activate and giving birth is what made them fluctuate. So when Cecile had the baby she lost almost all her powers and had to regain them. Her powers then got boosted by the sage force + all psychics in the city. Her using the mask allowed her to tap into her powers further and become virtue.

The writing went wrong after season four. It's like we forgot about certain things. I am still debating about rewatching flash after the show ended. I have rewatched arrow, Supergirl, legends of tomorrow, even black lightning of all seasons. The flash is hard for me because somewhere the writers lost there focus. Don't get me wrong the other shows lost focus at some point but the groundwork of the show did not change

I actually love Cecile Horton, she has both natural chemistry with Team Flash and she brings motherly energy/personality to the group. Plus she and Joe West are very nice together but I think he should have proposed earlier before season 9. But I digress. I know Barry never mentioned it, if Joe was a second dad to him, Cecile would probably the closest thing he would have to a second mom.

I really dislike how Cecil became so involved in the main cast. She's not the only one but why do they do this. It especially ot bad in the final seasons. With characters like Chester, his girlfriend ( can't remember her name) and of course Cecil.

I still think that iris should have gotten powers as well as seen her having a child earlier and then kept Cecile as one of the side characters who still helped the flash in battle every once in a blue moon and I feel like irises powers would be a mix between ciscos and mirror masters except she makes metal objects and travels through metal portals I feel like that would be such a good power for her seeing as she could do what mirror master could
