Cecile Zilkha | Jewelry Collection | Sotheby's

Cecile Zilkha was a well-known philanthropist, socialite, and art collector who passed away in 2015. After her death, her extensive collection of jewelry was auctioned off by Sotheby's in New York.
The collection featured over 150 pieces of jewelry, including rare diamonds, sapphires, and other precious stones, and works by renowned jewelers such as Van Cleef & Arpels, and Bulgari.
All proceeds went to support charitable causes that were important to Cecile Zilkha during her lifetime.

Mrs. Zilkha's jewelry collection was absolutely stunning! What amazing taste. I think my favorite piece was at the beginning. The Bulgari diamond and emerald earrings that were the opposite of each other were an eye catcher. If you could let me have a second fav, it would be the Van Cleef & Arpel ruby and diamond earrings (mystery setting). I have not been this impressed since the Duchess of Windsor jewelry collection came up for auction in 1987.
