Cedar Ave Dwelling Fire 7/28/24 Middletown Township, PA.

On scene video of a firefighters going to work on scene of a dwelling fire in the Parkland Fire Co first due area of Middletown Township.
Fire companies were dispatched to the 300 block of Cedar Ave shortly after 10PM on Sunday evening after recieving a call from a resident in the area reporting a neighboring house on fire. Langhorne-Middletown Chief 21 arrived first on the scene reporting fire showing from a two and a half story single family dwelling and established Parkland Command.
Lower Southampton Quint 6 was first in and lead off with a 2" 1/2 attack line. Langhorne Tower 21 arrived shortly after and established a water supply to Quint 6 where firefighters pulled two additional lines into the structure for an aggressive interior attack. The fire was brought under control within a half hour.
All residents and a dog were accounted for. The fire is under investigation by Middletown Fire Marshal's Office. Firefighters from Parkland, Lower Southampton, Langhorne-Middletown, Penndel, Feasterville, William Penn and Trevose operated on the scene as well as Penndel-Middletown EMS who reportedly treated a firefighter on the scene for non life threatening injuries.

That house was really cooking, hopefully the firefighter who was injured made a quick recovery. Thank you to all firefighters everywhere for protecting the citizens of your coverage area.

Huh? Overhead wires???? You mean the wires on utility poles To the right? It's a 100' ladder. I'm sure the ladder goes up straight and can rotate and can easily hit the dwelling with a master stream thats 25 yards away. I guess I got to go back to ladder operations.

@@virgilhilts3924 saving a house fully involved? But ok , but I'm embarrassing myself haha, obviously you can't size up a incident scene. That house is a total loss . Safety of fire personnel is priority #1. It was an exterior fight, quickest way to knock down the fire is big amounts of water, not hand lines, fire was already threw the roof.

That 3rd engine pulls up and stops away from the fire and the firefighters walk towards the fire with hand tools and no hose lines.

Yes. First in truck 500 gal. tank went in-service with 2 1/2" line 1 1/8" smoothbore. WE were flowing around 220 to 250 gpm. 2nd line off was a 1 1/2" to the garage and 3rd line was 1 3/4 to the up stairs. As soon as we received hydrant water all other lines were charged. There was a 4th 1 3/4" pulled too that was used later on.

@@mikehoysler4322 Wires were on that side. We did talk real fast about swinging the main under the wires. But the crews from 6,8,21,9 are pretty aggressive and we knew we were going in and getting it.
