I especially get a kick out of your videos of the earthquake ride (as a kid with your tape recorder!) and other rides from the 1970s. That was my era too. I miss that CP has no dark rides anymore. Hey Bob! I just got back from a trip to Cedar Point (all the way from Colorado!). I just filmed the Boneyard at night with my new camera. Kind of cool! And you are right about the Earthquake ride, and the Pirate ride. LOVED them as a kid growing up in Detroit. Wish Cedar Point wasn't so far away. But hoping to go back for Halloweekends! I really enjoy your footage of Halloweekends from the last few years! Please keep posting!

I was there the day before. it was platinum pass preview night. only to find out it was ALSO ohio state day. the platinum passholders weren't allowed in the park till 7pm and things did not go as I planned. the line for valravn was painful to look at and dragster broke down when I was in line. I finally rode valravn the next time I visited (a freezing day in May), which I waited over two hours for.

Yay Calypso! I mean Tiki Twirl! Lol!Interactive map?? What's that fancy stuff?! We didn't have that when I grew up lol. I'm already wondering what will replace that big spot where challenge racing was. I also forgot Shoot the Rapids is being dismantled. Wonder what's going to go there, as well... Awesome video, again! Warms my heart to see it. I miss CP so much. Your videos make it a little more bearable to be away from it. Well done, as usual, CoasterBob. I'll be interested in checking out the interactive map next time I'm there. If they are like the interactive maps at Kings Island, then they may provide the approximate wait time for the various rides, which would be a welcome feature. I imagine there are several map kiosks around the park, not just the one you filmed, right?

+PivotCoasterVideos I rode only once -- middle of the last row. Very smooth with some nice twists and turns. Shorter than I'd like, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The view from the top at night -- awesome.

Coaster Bob, as always a big thank you for sharing your wonderful videos with us. Cedar Point has always been one of my most favorite places, but I haven't back in years. I've acquiring some annoying mobility issues as I've hobbled into late middle age, and I know I can't handle a day of walking and line-standing. Thanks to your videos, I can enjoy it all vicariously. Only three comment on Opening Day '16: Is the Matterhorn still there? Didn't see it. I note with disgust that their Pepsi contract must have run out and they are back to Coke. Yuck. :-) And did they ever do anything with the space where the German or Swiss Trabant (I cannot spell its name -- starts with an "S") used to be, down from the Wicked Twister midway? THANKS AGAIN!

Have to say Valravn is a boring ride. Rode it on 5.6.16 during the horrible "preview" night that CP had. It's way too slow, it's really not that high and with the dive type coaster, there's not much you can do. And this one is the longest? Wow. Sorry, but I thought it was pretty dull.

Jr Graff the vest restraints are too restrictive, I think they should’ve gone with the old school ones that can be found on all the other dives (griffon, shiekra etc) and it would’ve been much better. However, it’s a good ride for beginners, we’re going in four days for opening day this year for after prom and my date is terrified of roller coasters and hasn’t been on anything bigger than the ones at Disney world so as long as the lines not terribly long we might just start with valravn

Not like i eat Chick Fil A anyways but i wonder if the got rid of it and replaced it with a generic chicken place because to many people were triggered and offended because of its religious views.....its weird everything from fast food restaurants to Halloween costumes now offend people...at least people dont think roller coasters are "offensive"! :D *knock on wood*
