Im ecstatic seeing Sefris make top 4. My sefris being a high piwer version and seeing it get some love with its potential makes me happy.

Absolutely love her! She 100% incentivizes instant speed gameplay. Ive been big on all the new creature MDFCs that came with MH3 because with discard outlets they provide another chance at a sefris trigger and only take the spot of a land. I Do only run the monocolored ones so they can come in untapped but I think its very worth it!

Sweet recap! Duckie is a stax mastermind, they’re someone I have a ton of respect for! Also, super glad both Coval and I were on the bowmaster because otherwise both of us probably would have lost that game 3 times over. 😂

Hey I’m the Inalla player from the open top 16, and just wanted to throw out my thoughts. Leyline of Anticipation was amazing, it won me one game and drew another, it’s just an amazing tool for playing in 4th seat. Underworld Breach, Brain Freeze, and Demonic Consultation were cut recently because out of 250+ games the deck’s win percentage with Breach or traditional Thassa’s Oracle was around 1.2%. Also if you’re playing a unique deck lean into what that deck does best, you aren’t beating Rog/Si or Blue Farm when it comes down to generic win cons, same reason for no Necro. Bloodline and Ruthless are a way to win without having to worry about Rhystic/Mystic or RoL effects, by just looping the triggers.

Have been Running a high-powered casual Sefris deck for years. She is my GOAT, super happy to see her place high. Always thought she had potential but I run Jeska/Tymna in my local PODS!

Am I the only one who doesn’t like Rog Si taking over the meta? I feel like the meta is shrinking faster than I’ve ever seen because of it. Plus I find turbo games to be boring. You only get to see like 8-9 cards and that’s just if you keep 7. Feels like I’m playing substantially less magic.
@Dafins1004 ай бұрын
But then again I’m biased. “Mid-range hell” was my fav meta and before that I loved stax. Felt like the most decks ever were viable.
@LemorasCards4 ай бұрын
@Dafins100 there's pros and cons, you get shorter games on average but outside of tournament you do get to play more games. I think it just stands out since this is the first turbo meta in quite a while, I think we'll see decks adapt to it and things shake up.

I don't mind it. cEDH is just people diddling themselves to see who can finish fastest, so I don't have to spend as much time watching people diddle themselves, or each other. I can go play Magic instead.

Hey bud. Big big fan of the channel. Gotta ask a favor. Please help Mikey not split the format. I even think he’s right about bans and unbans and I wish it was his way but it isn’t. I have the same feeling I got the first time I saw Secret Lair The Walking Dead. This is so bad. Cedh is really picking up steam. We are still pulling players from casual. Still growing. Don’t make it a separate format. There aren’t enough players for there to be; casual commander, competitive commander, and then whatever Mikey’s format is called. I don’t want to have to bring a sideboard for my cedh decks to the LGS (or maybe even totally different decks if the “butterfly effect” warps the tourney format. The format isn’t perfect. But it’s good. There’s a physical law called The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. It’s not just a law of physics it’s more like the physical manifestation of a logical fact… It’s WAY easier to break shit than to fix it. Things are complicated man. There’s no way he can understand the long term consequences of this move. No one can. Buddy, I promise you, this is not a “it either helps or it hurts 🤷♂️ 50-50 proposition”. It’s just not like that. Someone is gonna have to say “I really would like this power and responsibility” then help him chose to not use it. He’s a young guy. Very progressive, I’m sure. It’s good to challenge the status quo. But when things are going way way way better than you had any right to expect even a couple years back and it’s largely because of “perfect storm, random, unforeseeable… shit house luck” if you jostle that “system” it’s virtually guaranteed to make things worse not better. I mean it’s almost 100%.

@@thewintersaint Mikey has been discussing a new banned list for “tEdh”. People in cEdh are taking it pretty seriously. I think his list is better than the RC’s. But I think that’s not the point. It’s not just A tourney organization.. it’s THE TO. And others may even follow suite, who knows? Obv there are people who already care about cedh and they don’t even know about this. How would casual/high power players find out? How many show up to their first tourney with illegal decks? Or decks not teched to reflect the rules changes? I also take issue a gifts ungiven as an unban. What? Breach isn’t good enough? And I’m shook that Orcish BowMasters doesn’t make his list of bans. But mostly I think it’s just a terrible idea in and of it’s self
@Dgoold24 ай бұрын
You must not have seen the other tweet going with the list of suggested bans/unbans, because he said that Matthew, from this channel, is literally in the group with Mikey, along with FreedomWaffle and Datatog who came up with the list. Clearly Matthew knows what’s going on, he’s a part of it

Love the title crazy decks proceeds to cover the same decks as in most comps with exception of maybe one or two. Not sure I would call this crazy but expected. But still a good explanation and coverage, just hope some more decks pop up.
@LemorasCards4 ай бұрын
@justinmaynard8305 for an event like this, a topdeck platinum event, it's pretty common to see nothing but the top tier options. Getting a Sefris in top 4 or a Kaalia just barely missing the cut is pretty surprising, though it is relative. Honestly in general the format is very top heavy and homogenous looking right now at almost every event.

I really like these videos but I think you should explain the entire line of combos and what the deck is trying to do more in depth, like I know the cards and how they are good but what combo line is the deck really doing I think that would be dope to learn about for someone who knows commander but has never really understood or played lots of combo decks, especially with there being no pro tour or anything for commander it’s kind of hard to find cedh gameplay let alone making it make sense.
@LemorasCards4 ай бұрын
@Bright.27. yeah sometimes it's difficult to try to keep things brief for the people who watch all of these plus keep it full of the info newer players might need, so I gotta continue to work on that balance.

Your phrasing indicates you already have a preconceived notion on what happened. I prefer facts, so let's do some digging. Quote from the Fishbowl 4 TO on a Reddit thread about the incident: "Hello! I’m the TO of the event! I did investigate this. I watched every other stream this person has played in. I got an account of at least 15 games this person has played in from other TOs and other players. The investigation yielded that this was simply a mistake. There is zero pattern, and no evidence that this was intentional. I’m happy to answer any and all questions you might have." So it was already investigated, evidence points to it being a mistake, and the player received a warning (I believe the warning was mentioned on stream). I assume this won't dissuade you from thinking he cheated, but for anyone else who legitimately cares about what actually happened and how it was dealt with, there you go.
