Ian is truly insane. His knowledge of the game and ability to pilot so many different commanders so well, and so consistently, is mindblowing. The 2nd place guy, Max, is also a beast! I adore his Kinnan list (dubbed Grind Them Into Dust on Moxfield), and he's also part of the fantastic KZbin channel, Colors Are A Crutch.

In cases of newer cards, do you limit the total games down to just after the card was released? Just because Flesh Duplicate seemed like it was compared to same population as Basalt Monolith. Also, as a statistician myself, I really enjoy that somebody is doing this kind of analysis for the format. Keep up the good work!

An interesting question that could be answered with the t tests at the end of the video, would be Kinnan decks that are/aren't off the instant speed win lines with Cephalid Coliseum, since I know that's a point of disagreement with Kinnan mains

I look at all games even the ones before flesh duplicant is there. But I do track games overtime and total winrate over time. But I will only see the total kinnan winrate average overtime. So for example we can track a new card getting printed to date and see what happens to kinnan winrate over time time from that date. But that started this year.

Have you considered making confidence intervals of deck winrates to see how that impacts commander rankings for their estimated “population” winrates. Also, have noticed anything interesting looking at the distributions of winrates themselves for specific commanders. Are they all normally distributed, or do some commanders have very lopsided curves?

I want to see great players use good commanders instead of top tier commanders like blue farm, najeela, rogue si and yes kinnan . Great players should be able to do well with decent commanders since they are great
