There is only one Larry Bird. Geez, to call out Pete Maravich like that...nobody else would have the stones to even think of saying that. But like Magic said, Larry is a straight shooter. He'll tell you if he doesn't like you. And Magic wished he could have a little bit of that in his personality and Larry said he wished he could have some of Magic's outgoing personality.

Yeah. But Larry also realized Pete didn't have much left in the tank at that time. He respected Pete's talent and place in the game as well. Albeit if it was earlier ( Pete's prime).

@@ronniemiller3135 Then he became a pain in the ass and demanded superstar money. They gave it to him and he became a team cancer and faked injuries all year. They dumped him on the Clippers and got Bill Walton and became the greatest team ever. I was a major Celtics fan, but I loved to watch Charles Barkley eat his lunch and take his money. Can't stand him and his Anti-White rhetoric.

@@BeckettBoy First of all, Cornbread was good, but he is no MVP. That award should have been Larry’s first of three, HE KNOWS IT…Larry knows it. Instead the dude uses it as a mouthpiece platform to claim some sort of relevant status among the TRUE greats. Bird is GOAT level…LEGEND, And every one knows that, so to again double down talking KG is still better, AND THEN fronting the clout to hold your ground and not acknowledge that you disrespected Larry is next level douchbaggery. Cedrick Maxwell is a 1x MVP and 2x Champion that without Bird would have nothing on his resume.

How about this for a starting 5. Wilt in the middle Hakeem and the dream shake at one forward. Kevin McKale and the torture chamber at the other forward. Bird as a big guard. Magic as a point guard. Holy $hit that would be fun to see.

sounds good without a doubt. But you're taking Hakeem before Jabbar? Remember Kareem in his younger days? Kareem owned the court I think longer than anyone. I like your pick for the most part. I think Jabbar said it best, "There are too many Goats to pick just one...."

@@andybilakshow260 The really cool thing is, if Kareem was on the team 4 out of 5 of the players would be VERY familiar with each other's game. And the fact that Bird and Magic are very unselfish players and make those around them better would be really fun to see. Most teams you would throw together like this would need to play with 5 basketballs. Not this team.

@@underconstruction778 Lol. Parrish's take on it seems pretty good, and I think he's telling it like it was. It's not the EGO of the superstar...it's the bullying tactic of MJ with his own teammates he witnessed. He wouldn't have let Larry bully either...but Larry was never that poor of a leader. Instead, he led by example...and would call out players if they didnt meet his standards.. one that he held for himself. Which, again, knocks MJ out of my GOAT....he's #3 instead.

What i don't like about that interview why he even talking shit about football if it's clear he don't know anything about it. On average football player run 10+km a game and top teams played 2 games a week during 9 month. It's crazy. And if you want to compare physicality of sports watch random football game and pay attention to corners kicks. Mb back in a days you can compare football with NBA, but not now.
