Thanks! Now that you mentioned it, this does look strikingly similar to an A-52. There are some minute design differences, so I’m not sure if it’s an actual A-52 rebadge or a good clone.

I'm terribly sorry that I couldn't comment on some of your recent videos because I was feeling under the weather recently. The golden fan is really unique, never heard of it before! I assume the airflow to be sufficient for your bedroom.

Hey no need to apologize for not being able to leave comments! The comments box is purely optional. Hope you're feeling better now. I also didn't know such a fan existed! The performance is pretty good, though the nasty wobble in the downdraft direction is making it unusable. I plan on switching the fan out again before next spring (or maybe even before Christmas lol).

Oh yeah, thanks for checking! I really appreciate that. The unfortunate wobble on downdraft is quite an interesting case. It definitely highlights the poor quality control, when it went into production. It's a very unpleasant contrast compared to their Gold Line industrials.

The gold fan for sure! Not by much though... the Adirondack and Bayport I used to have in my room were more powerful. But I'm at least content that it outperforms the "not-industrial" lol

Seems like anymore, just about any product I buy that requires any assembly also requires some kind of ad-hoc modifications to make it work as intended, as you had to do here with the light kit. Very frustrating.

True, especially with lower-end products nowadays. I didn't expect this fan to give me so much trouble though, considering it seems like a higher-end fan and it's from an era when even cheap fans were still built reasonably well.

How old is the gold fan?

I'm not too certain, but I'm thinking it's from the mid-1980s. I'll try to see if there's a date code somewhere.
